Originally my King was Cyril and my Queen was Jasmine but I've taken to calling them King-Sleepy (After the dwarf) and Queen-Princess Aurora (aka sleeping beauty)

As I've been upgrading them constantly, I never get to see them do anything but sleep while a builder hammers away right next to them... SERIOUSLY WHO SLEEPS THROUGH SOMEONE HAMMERING NEXT TO YOUR FACE!?

It seems like I lack imagination here, they are simply called King/Queen

Up to this point Ive always called them BK and AQ... I guess that will have to change

The Kraken one is because the King never fails to be frickin awesome (unless he goes shopping around the edge of the base) and because when he is enraged he is super hard to kill and super strong.
The Quagmire one because a quagmire is defined as an awkward, complex, or hazardous situation. My Queen tends to become awkward, complex, or hazardous when attacking a base (a.k.a. she doesn't know what to do and screws up). But at the same time, she is awe-inspiring because when she does work, she works very, very well.
