They're my go-to troop in war at TH9. I think I would miss them.

Used right at th9, valks are probably the most reliable 2-3 star strategy against max th9s.
10 because if SC does that with her what will stop them from going for other troops? I would quit really.
1, but I'd like to see them get better. They'd be the perfect troop to start adding "auras" to. How cool would valk be if they had a war cry that gave other troops near them a little passive boost.
No, please don't.
If a troop provides a boost on other troops then that should be it's main function. Like healers doing healing. A troop with significant offensive capability shouldn't have a secondary passive effect.
It's a slippery slope and before you know it armies will have to include 2 or 3 troops just to get their passive effect. Collecting buffs is a stupid mechanic that should be kept exclusive to MMORPGs.
I can't believe this thread is 10 pages long.

Removing troops is a bad idea, imagine if they decided Dragons or Wizards didn't need to be used.
I played a (terrible) online space game many years ago.
Each week they forced change on players, by changing up the troops (well they were ships, but same idea)
* Most commonly used troop - Removed from game for one week
* Second most commonly used troop - PERMANENT 10% stats decrease
* Third most commonly used troop - 10% cost increase
* Second least commonly used troops - 10% cost decrease
* Least commonly used troops - PERMANENT 10% stats increase
That way they balanced the less used troops over time
Removed troops was pretty funny, as it tended to alternate a particular troop on/off (when it returned people built it as much as possible!)
It meant that people returning to the game after a month had a bit of a struggle getting the game to behave how they wanted.
WHY WOULD YOU THINK OF SUCH A THING. cough cough GOWIVA cough cough
