Well that's a question I don't think I have ever seen. Most questions of ithis variety lean more towards why is it so hard to find what I want?

Most people it seems are more focused on filling orders of some type or helping their neighbours fill orders so I don't ever imagine the paper being full of goods that no one wants to buy.

I too prefer to make my own stuff whenever possible. But there are times when I run out of potatoes or lettuce or cotton and when I go shopping I usually check those ads that are flagged for help to see if I can fill a crate or two for them. And if I should happen to come across some jewelry or some candy, anything that has sugar or dairy as an ingredient, fish or feather products I will definitely buy them because my farm just can't keep up with those things.

Regarding the OP, there is such a variety to Hay Day that you can play it however you want. I frequently change tactics myself and have been playing since June of last year. So whatever appeals to you about the game, give that your attention.
If you've gotten to level 34 and haven't quit it's possible you've just gotten sidetracked into thinking there is a way that you're "supposed" to play. There isn't.

I got a lot of things later than most people I think. Not because of lack of money but because it didn't sound like fun at the time. Didn't join a NH until the Derby began....in fact I made my own and just my sis and I are in it. Joined Tigg for a week just for fun. She's an angel!

What keeps me coming back to this game day after day is making stuff. It's not about the money or the pets or vouchers. Those are just added bonuses. I still have no decor on my farm even though I'm at level 94. Not my thing. It's mostly just about making stuff. Growing stuff. Keeping those machines running. Keeping those fields working.

"Oh but the bars are going to be ready. Oh I can go fishing in 20 minutes!" Stuff like that. I THINK (I don't want to jinx myself) that I have hopefully finally learned my lesson to forget about the truck orders and SELL! I am an unfortunate hoarder by nature and I always think "well I'm sure I'll need this later," and so I store it away. Then when I do end up needing it I say "Ha! Got it!" But in this game that doesn't work too well does it. Yep my stubborn ol' head didn't want to listen to all the veteran players at first, but like I said, Hopefully I can keep up what I've started tonight and make enough money for the next machine!!
---> By the way, I have looked in 3 different places now to find the prices of the upcoming machines/equipment needed so I can be sure and be prepared, and I have found 3 different prices- a different price each place. Is there an updated and for sure place I can find this out??
    Thank you!
Try this. Ranger does a good job of laying out everything.

When deciding how you want to play this game, remember... It's ok to change your mind!

I don't know how many times I've gone from filling orders, to selling virtually all of my goods to make room in my barn for nothing but shovels so that I could do nothing but mining, to depleting all of my shovels so I could fill up the barn with food stuffs again, et al... and that was BEFORE the derby came out and, for a while, SC was tweaking that point system every other week! They had my mind (and barn) spinning when they went thru that stage! I expect more tweaks will be forthcoming, but am SO glad that the pace of those changes has slowed considerably!

If/When you sense yourself getting frustrated, wondering how you're ever going to achieve that next milestone... Stop thinking about the milestone and think back to what you started with! Your uncle (may he rest in peace) didn't leave you with much and you've already worked wonders to get it where it is today! If you change your playing style 100 times, deleting everything each time, you'll still never be as bad off as you were on day one... and... you probably considered that a good day, filled with all sorts of possibilities!

    Level 50

I felt this way about level 50 or so. I made small goals. Master your machines. I found my silo was always full because I would forget to load the feedmills and bread machine. My solution was to put those machines right in the middle of my fields. That way when i did a harvest I had them right in front of me so i didnt forget to load them up. You can also do this with the loom. Park it right by the sheep. Put the dairy by the goats. Etc. Etc. It makes it fun to have loads of bread and cornbread to sell instead of crops. Feed is a super good seller. Make the goat feed overnight all others during the times where you can keep reloading. Put cookies in the bakery overnight. They bring a good coin price and sell super fast.

Step away from the parts of the game you don't like. I don't like fishing so I rarely ever fish. Town I only do occasionally. Its up to you to choose what you like in the game. You don't have to do it all.

Farm level: 241 Silo 11,850 and always full, no really it is full!

This is such good advice! I stressed myself out when I first started because I felt I was supposed to fill all the orders. Once I let myself refuse orders, I started enjoying the game more. I now refuse almost all farm visitor orders. I refuse a lot of truck orders. I am so glad we can send out empty boats.

I also did not buy every machine right away. I am at level 69 and I still do not have the sushi bar. I personally do not like sushi, so I didn't buy it. I have not opened the mine or the town yet. I do not have all the lobsters or ducks yet. I have concentrated on saving what was needed for the pets I wanted. I do not have any donkeys. I am finally getting to the point where I have enough money to buy whatever I want and I am going back and buying some of the machines I did not previously have (loom and sewing machine in preparation for hat maker at level 70).

I did have to force myself to stop just buying things from the DD in order to save coins. I also have made it a priority to get my barn and silos as big as I can.

Hope you are finding new ways to make it fun for you.

Ok WHOA!! That is so cool! But how'd you do it? How did you get to level 69 without buying the machines that came up each level????

And my platform just got done building but I haven't opened the "present" yet and am nervous to do so!!
