    Need Some Pep Talk!

Only on level 34 and already I'm getting so very discouraged! You "work" so hard and for SO long to produce everything you need, just to end up having to work and produce more and for longer! I know this is a main point in the game and it's not the game's fault at all-- I'm just, like I said, getting so discouraged and need some oomph and positivity about all this. Please talk to me! Thank you!

For me, there were things I enjoyed doing and other things I did not. So, if you don't like the truck tasks, there is a trash can to pull them down. They will reload in 30 minutes. I know level 80+ farmers whose towns are level 1 meaning they don't do that aspect of it. If you get a sugar boat, as soon as it arrives, hit the ship button with no filled boxes. That sends it away and another comes in 4 hours. I only have two chicken pens because there are so many eggs in the paper. I like the giftcard stuff and you get them by helping people, max 5 a day. I like selling hard to find items in my shop. I enjoy my nh group and we are chatty. Some people like to decorate their farms.

Bottom line, do what you enjoy on your farm and quit doing whatever seems hard about it. Don't feel obligated to sell to the visitors if you don't want to, fill your boat orders, fill every truck order, etc. I only do truck orders over 1000 xp for 2 items, most of the onesies and few else. So, I trash them and do what I want again and trash what I don't. As far as townies, some only do people picked up by their personal train. Some only do ones who go to two buildings and send off the others.

Yes we have all been there!

You are at that level in the game where it feels hopeless. So many machines, so many products, never enough money!

This is just my advice from my point of view. Slow down! If you are short of money then make and sell. Don't buy products. Don't sell to little people or worry about filling boat/town orders. This will only make you level up faster and send you more into a spin.

If you are good for money then still slow down. Find an aspect of the game you enjoy doing the most. Wether it be filling truck orders, doing boat orders, selling to the little people or the town and just do this for a while. It does get easier but this game is designed to be where you level up slowly.

With you plant products perhaps split your fields up evenly an grow plants accordingly. I set all the things that take ages just before I go to bed and they are ready in the morning. Same with products. Open up slots on food, dairy, sugar and make animal feed, lots of sugar (make syrup overnight), make cream and butter during the day and cheeses overnight. This is how I play but please be mindful everyone plays differently. You just need to find what works best for you.

Read some of the 'stickys' to learn about stacking (which I am hopeless at) to get some ideas of other tips and tricks to try.

Believe me we have all been there. Struggle with money, trying to get all the machines, never enough barn/silo space but it does get easier around mid level 40 then you will wonder why it all seemed so hard!

Hopefully others will give you feedback and support from their point of view and you will so have lots of ideas to help you fid your own style of play.

Yes Stop Buying! I really need to do that. It's just so tempting! I get the money I need FINALLY for whatever machine is next, and I can only Sustain the amount that I have leftover for a little bit. Then I go haywire again. Is there a support group for compulsive Hay Day shoppers? Seriously. It's way too fun!
Also, I didn't even get the river boat. After posting my question in the New to Hay Day forum if you Have to have one and finding out you don't then I just said "yay!" and forgot about that. Am waiting for the platform to open- 2 days to go, so we'll see how that goes.
A few people have advised just to do what makes you happy, like you MitziMitz, and thank you so much for that advice. I think that really is THE BEST ADVICE and I HAVE to keep that in mind and stop my 'buying addiction!"
Oh yeah--And giving up/selling my stuff is so hard for me. I don't know why either cause I love helping others out! Boats or trees & bushes, whatever it may be. Hoarding compulsion too probably? Oh boy. I need help I think

Since you like to buy stuff in the DD, then why not buy low in the DD and sell high in the RSS? You'd do what you like and you'd make a profit.

The best way to avoid buying is to keep your barn full. I am sure my friends know exactly when I upgrade my barn, because that's when I shop. I guess it helps because I am an enthusiastic shopper and I will clean out the RSS if it has great things. But I imagine my friends saying,"ah Tiggs has cleaned me out . The last time she did that was last month. She must have expanded her barn again." I say that because they have never deleted me since I do it so rarely. I love love love to shop, but since my barn is always full, I don't get to do it. Check out the new people tips and look for the stacking thread. There is no right or wrong way to do it, but it allows you to work your farm with a close to full barn.

    Good luck

Are you a member of a neighborhood? That can keep the game fresh for you with the chat and helping neighbors. I know that it's way easier to part with stuff in my barn when I know it is for a 'hoodie who needs a boat crate filled or help with a Derby task.

Sorry, but I'm a realist. If you are bored and discourage at level 34, then maybe this isn't the game for you. Myself, personally, I,was hooked on the game the minute I started playing it. I play so much that I have to force myself to,step, away from the game, sometimes for a week at a time. Sadly, I still OCD over what is going on, what am I missing and how many bems I could be collecting or finding in the DD.

BTW, if you do decide this game isn't for you, could you sell me all your BEM?

Hahah! You got it, WillieBDare!! However, just like you I was hooked on this game from the absolute minute I began. I have literally lost hours of sleep because I stayed up playing it. "Oh but the bars are going to be ready. Oh I can go fishing in 20 minutes!" Stuff like that. I THINK (I don't want to jinx myself) that I have hopefully finally learned my lesson to forget about the truck orders and SELL! I am an unfortunate hoarder by nature and I always think "well I'm sure I'll need this later," and so I store it away. Then when I do end up needing it I say "Ha! Got it!" But in this game that doesn't work too well does it. Yep my stubborn ol' head didn't want to listen to all the veteran players at first, but like I said, Hopefully I can keep up what I've started tonight and make enough money for the next machine!!
---> By the way, I have looked in 3 different places now to find the prices of the upcoming machines/equipment needed so I can be sure and be prepared, and I have found 3 different prices- a different price each place. Is there an updated and for sure place I can find this out??
    Thank you!

    Question About Sell Sell Sell

If everyone would just keep making stuff and selling stuff, who would buy all our stuff we keep selling? I might be dense, but I don't know the answer! Thank you!
