I keep getting raided and I can't upgrade anything, help!!

No joke, if ur farming for elixir, put ur DE storage outside next to ur TH and with a white flag.nobody will hit u for ur Elixir. Focus on one thing at a time. When you are farming gold or dark elixir, put ur other storages outside and move to high gold/low crystal and you will very rarely get attacked for ur full storages. It worked for me as a TH8

Interesting ideas. I'm in silver 2 at the moment. I was in gold 3 at one point but I keep myself at lower trophies because otherwise I'm matched with ridiculously high level bases.

Mido, thanks for the hints. I'll try that troop combo. I don't make the loot when I go on raids because it takes me about 70,000 elixir to make my troops. Probably 40% of the time I don't even come out ahead on a raid, because I think I can do it and I fail to get enough.

There is a lot I don't know. I have watched some videos, but I might not be watching the best ones.

Take note of the fact that you can only lose 300k gold and elixir at the most when you are attacked. For this reason, the best plan (in addition to putting your town hall in the corner to increase the odds you get a shield without losing loot) is to only log out once you had made a minimum of 300k gold and elixir in profit. If you started at 2 million gold and 2 million elixir when you logged in and broke your shield, then don't log out until you have 2.3 million gold and 2.3 million elixir in your storages. This will ensure that you always profit every time you log in. If you don't think you have the time to earn at least 300k of each then don't break your shield at that time (obviously you have no choice twice a day, but don't break it any more often than that unless you can raid long enough to get some loot).

If you still struggle, you may want to temporarily keep a builder free for walls (not something I normally recommend, but it does serve a purpose). If you spend all your gold every time you log out (by upgrading as many walls as you can) you make yourself a less attractive target. It also leaves you a builder that you can use to perform an expensive upgrade as soon as you get enough gold or elixir to pay for it.

I tend to log out while waiting for my troops to train. I like to have my barb king and it takes like 35min. I can't entertain myself for that long on the game. What do ya'll do while you're waiting for your troops?

Snipe TH when your army is building, and also use a fast building barch with a couple giants mixed in.
