I keep getting raided and I can't upgrade anything, help!!

I have a TH 8 and I don't know if I need to change my base or my raid strategy or what. How do I make any progress when I'm constantly being raided? I'm just trying to upgrade my archers and I need 2,250,000 elixir. As soon as I save up to 1 and a half million, I get knocked down to 1 million again. Any thoughts? Thanks

Hey, you might wanna start using farming strategies and lower your trophies and bam less attacks and easy loot.

Is your town hall in the corner? TH8 is one of the worst town halls to collect loot because even if you have a farming base, a TH9 could still come in and take you for all your worth.

Make a farming base and have an unlurable cc. I would request all wizards (max level) for your cc defense. yes, poison spell is in the game now, but not everybody carries a poison or they might drop it at the wrong time... blah blah. Anyways, hope that a TH9 hits you with gibarch and doesn't lure. Wizards will destroy the giants in an instance.

Have double giant bombs. That stops hogs and giants get damaged. It helps to create a funnel base and sprinkle spring traps where the giants will go, so between defenses.

know that being a TH8 means you are going to be hit by TH9s. what you want to do is prevent them from getting all of your loot. they will most likely get some of it because the AQ is OP when attacking TH8s. try to not constantly break your shield.

you can only lose 300.000 elixir at once, dont throw random numbers in there

Keep TH outside
If you don't carry much dark elixir it will take like half an hour or more before you actually get attacked, and possibly it's a snipe
Use efficient / fast to train farming troops (e.g. GiBarch)
Raid in sessions a.k.a. don't go offline after every attack

Every time you go offline, you risk getting attacked. Make sure, that you get a shield on _the first_ attack, and not on the 4th ..

How, you ask?

Make the TH easy to snipe. Don't trap it, give up the TH completely and use your defences to protect your loot.

The higher you rise in trophies, the quicker you will get sniped when you go offline.

If you can't get to Crystal, forget about it and set your mind on the following upgrade plan: ALWAYS upgrade the CHEAPEST building, troop, hero. JUST SPEND YOUR RESOURCES ASAP!

Or....get even. Builld a strong army then hit REVENGE.

I'm exactly the same.Yes get smashed by 9,S but every now and then(mainly after war) or last cook b4 bed, I have a GOHO or GOWIPE ready and that revenge can be so sweet , specially taking thier 2100 DE and emptying thier storages(even better when THIER TH is outside and you try to hit 39%, tho that is hard trying to not go over)

I also queue massdragons when I go offline, if I get hard attacked I fully cook them and then my first attack I try to get most of the DE back (really I don't worry about Gold and Lix)

If the attack doesn't get to my DE I unqueue them



Also a trick, you can hide Elixir and DE in the barracks and spell factory... just queue very expensive troops but make sure they actually won't get cooked (no space left in camps).
I queue 2 golems and 2 hogs per dark barrack, and as many EQ spells I can (but I often forget to do this)

Little known trick to not be in the negative when saving for any upgrade. Its called a boost session. Save up 40 gems and spend them on your barracks to boost them. Then for the next two hours use a Barch army to constantly hit full collector bases and abandoned bases. This type of army is ideal because it cooks fast and is the cheapest. Do some research on it...you can make 2-4 million during these two hours. Then log off and wow...they only take 200-300k of all that you made. Guess what? You are now in the green saving for your upgrade. Only takes two hours of your time...so plan for it accordingly. 👍

Done soo many times, forget to UNQUEUE them and after raiding come back and have the most horrendous army to get rid off.
50 wall Breakers and 20 balloons(don't think I've done that one but know a clan mate that did)

But yes always hide your DE in golems or Hogs as you can hide over 1.4k DE with maxed Hogs n lvl1 golems(th8)
Elix and Gold I too am not fussed about.
