What makes "♥♥♥♥" an appropriate word for clan names?

I can't believe the Clash community are so butthurt about people using this acronym for their clan names. You would've thought everyone would be a bit more mature about it and get on with their lives. People are just having fun with the game, and they don't mean to personally insult anyone, it's just a way of making the clan look scarier and to get more publicity.

If people want to be spoil sports and report them, go ahead. But I see no reason as to why it's wrong.

If ♥♥♥♥ isn't filtered in the clan chat, then people should not be banned and clan names should not be changed until the change in global chat is implemented. Otherwise, if Supercell change clan's names, it is totally hypocritical, especially as the clan chat filter system is so bad. Until ♥♥♥♥ is cencored on Global, no further action should be taken against these clans. Supercell should set the example by updating their filters if they really want to go forwards that way.

Keep in mind, this isn't a game for 5 year olds.

On the scale of important issues for SC to waste time on, I agree this is about as low as it gets and personally not offensive to me. That said anyone arguing that it could stand for anything is just making excuses ad we ALL know what it means, especially when used for a req and go clan.

And if we are talking maturity...a mature clan wouldn't use such a childish acronym. Just because something isn't censored does not automatically mean its ok and/or not offensive. The list of banned global words is not a contract for what is acceptable and what is not. Things slip through the cracks sometimes.

Simply, Supercell cannot determine what "♥♥♥♥" actually stands for. It's like ♥♥♥! That isn't cencored, because the determination of the acronym cannot be confirmed by Supercell.

Simply, the use of ♥♥♥♥ cannot be determined and that is why it is not a bannable offense and is allowed as an appropriate word in clan names, just the same as ♥♥♥ can be said in global. There is no actual swearing in the acronym, as it could stand for many different things.

By that logic a swastika base shouldn't be banned either.

If it isn't censored in the chat, how are people to know that it isn't acceptable? If Supercell really thought it was inappropriate, using "♥♥♥♥" in a clan name would not be allowed. However, if you try and make a clan called "♥♥♥♥" you will be able to. There are loads of clans with the word ♥♥♥♥ in them and I don't see what the problem is here.

Supercell have taken the decision not to deem "♥♥♥♥" as inappropriate, just the same as "♥♥♥♥♥♥ed" and "♥♥♥" isn't inappropriate, in their eyes.

We can debate what is appropriate and what's not all night long, but, as you said, Supercell is the final decider in which words are censored. We could debate over all of the words, but at the end of the day, we have no control over this factor.

By that logic a swastika base shouldn't be banned either.

Using nazi symbolism as a base is highly inappropriate and offensive as 6 million Jewish people died in the Holocaust. Nobody has died because of a clan using "♥♥♥♥" in their clan name.

However, using the aforementioned logic, I can understand your point as it could be assumed as a religious symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism.

While we could go on and debate about inappropriate base designs all night, unfortunately that isn't the topic of the thread.
