Anyone else suck with walls?

I've got 149 Legos now, rest skulls.

I'm keeping me elix full all the time since I'm currently pushing and once I'm full, I'll do another wall. Not even bothering upgrading them with gold since there are still valuable things to upgrade with it - ATs and later cannons as well (just three ATs to 13 left).

I have one builder free all the time (or often two), but I don't care really... better I can use my resource whenever I need to instead of sitting on stupid full storages for longer than a day.

Always leave a builder free, you will be working on your lab longer than it takes for 4 builders to finish all upgrades anyway.

Yeah, it is really just a matter of personal taste and how much you farm. If you are doing a lot of farming you need the builder for walls more, but then you also are more likely to finish your walls before your heroes. You also have to put up with having a weaker base for a longer period of time because you had an essentially inactive builder for all those months. With 2 builders being busy with my heroes for the first 5 months I only had 3 left to do the other building upgrades. By the time I finish my last hero upgrade my buildings still were not quite done (but almost) and that was with all 5 builders constantly working. I prefer to time my upgrades so that I get a builder finishing his tasks pretty much every day (on occasion I would allow for a 2 day time period). This made it so I rarely had too much loot and I could finish my buildings as fast as possible.

I am with you. I thought it would bother me to have inactive builders (I had never allowed such a thing before, not even a single one for walls), but I really enjoyed finishing my lavas with level 30 heroes to play with and no upgrades to worry about. It was fun and relaxing. I miss it now that I am TH10 and have to time upgrades again.

Walls are life to me, I actually had to rush TH levels because I maxed my walls way too early every single TH.

That is the curse of being a serious farmer. You'll probably find you play less (or simply focus on DE to make sure that both heroes are constantly asleep). Once your heroes are 40 however, you will definitely play less.

I currently have 197 legos and 53 skulls, although that changes daily. TH on its way to 10.

I guess I'm weird for saying I like doing walls. I find it a challenge but not too hard. Skulls and Legos were both easy but I had a fun time with lavas. The way I see it is, if you can do walls, you're on another level of farming. 8 million gold is nothing and is easily farmed in a day's worth but to farm up all the gold for lavas and zaps, that's the tough part.

I'm a new th9, over half Legos, no th9 lvl defenses. Defenses are overrated in my opinion.

I went to th9 with all dark purple walls, except for one or two skulls. I didn't think it really hurt me that much tbh. I have all defenses maxxed except for the xbows, and now have heroes and walls. I could upgrade some troops, but I don't really use them, so no reason to waste elixir. Now I am using gold to get skulls (get two or three a day) and elixir on Legos. I have a farming base where most people just take my town hall, which helps, plus I upgrade walls whenever I have the chance, so I don't offer much loot. My clan wars quite a bit, so that helps, since when we win I'm over 700k of each. I figure by time I get all Legos my heroes will both be over 20. After skulls, I'll save gold for l3 xbows and keep using elixir for Legos. Then It will be debate time....upgrade walls or upgrade town hall.
