Anyone else suck with walls?

Hi im a low TH9 player like OP but arrived at TH9 with full skulls'

Still usising COC upgrade tracker I made my TH8 walls inbetween upgrades, I maxed my storage, did all the wall I could before strating the new upgrade and never had to have a free builder and at the end still had my 225 skulls,

But looking at what needs to be done in TH9 its really obvious that the issue wont be defensive upgrade but hero upgrade, 20lvl on king and 30lvl on queen will for sure be the issue (considering I have 5 builders) Still not a big fan of a 100% idle builder so I toke the next best approche wich is to always have one freeing up in the next 24H and really dont regret it, I would strongly suggest that to any TH9 with at least 4 builders!

Nope .... When I got to TH9 I added the new 25 Walls and got them all to Pink ASAP. I then raided enough to get them all to Purple in a weekend then Just Made sure I Raided more than enough to get my next defensive upgrade to get the last 25 walls to Skulls. Now I'm working on Legos. I'll grind out 5-10 a week while doing all my defensive upgrades (maybe more if I find the time). Walls are a personal choice and there are no right and wrong ways to do so. Just work on them at your own pace.

DE is becoming my issue as I want to get my Queen to 10 ASAP but I also want to upgrade my dark troops. Its coming along slowly but getting it done

Yeah, that's so me, I did exactly same thing, but I entered with all skulls tho. Currently sitting on 99 legos/rest skulls. I'm not keeping any builder free, waste of time imo, just doing 3-4 walls every time builder is free. Just keep your th out, and don't keep too much de on you. Core is done and I focused highly on xbows, because they look ♥♥♥♥in' scary with legos

it isn't, yes, but when you get to th9 and are able to do legos for elixir it becomes much more acceptable

I maxed defense, no free builders now I'm just lurking around th9 for month(s)? (Kinda stopped paying attention) upgrading walls & heros until my lab is done. After a while you stop caring about free builders. I went from never a free building to not have a single builder busy. I've got maybe 50 or so legos left but still a few more months of lab with the new de spells, and the 2 weeks dragon 4 bumped me back.

If i were to do it over I wouldn't change it, maybe more skulls in 8. Having all my defense maxed and starting with just my war troops helped a lot in war.i did dump any excess loot in walls along the way

I couldn't handle leaving builders idle. The most valuable resource in this game is, unquestionably, TIME. Idle builders = wasted time.

But if you take the 'max everything' approach or you really want those high heroes at TH9, you kind of get forced into that (unless you gem hero time)

Am town hall 8 all but 1 tesla and 4 bombs to upgrade tesla when upgrading town hall to lv9 I have 4 builders 3 working all the time on gold when I get 850.000 upgrade 1 wall at a time done 60% off my walls to max now I find its the best way to upgarde your walls maxing all so when town hall 9 makes it so much easy 5 off us are doing it are clan max out all then next town hall

You should max th8 out for sure. Makes the transition to th9 so much easier. The wall grind is crazy at th9, but I Just finished it, and I feel like I am ahead of most players now at my point in the game.

I'm a TH7 and I have the exact same problem! I have mostly level 5 walls and a couple level 6 but I am always upgrading defenses or offence.

I copied a friend of mine's base, he is a maxed th8 except his walls. I am a early/mid th8 with 20 L8 walls the rest L7. We were attacked with similar armies (AQ walk), I got toasted and he defended. Difference? Mostly the walls.
