And silver/gold leagues is saturated with TH9s and 10s. Low crystal is probably the safest spot for TH7s and 8s now.

Gold I or Gold II is plenty safe for a TH8

I guess i just don't get it. Maybe TH9's can't attack each other? Seems with the huge troop upgrades they should be able to. Anyway i don't care if people attack lower TH's, i just don't get why they would, unless that base is LOADED.

We certainly could; and can; and do, but typically TH8 has the loot that is simply so much easier to attain, no X-bows, not enough walls/traps, BK is pretty weaksause on def. and the DPS output cant stop healed L6 Giants for any reasonable stretch. as a 9 what is there not to like?? you can get ALL 7 storages easily form 8 with out spending a ton for your army.

To get the same amount of loot from a TH9 is substantially harder to acquire, simply due to the increase in defensive turrets, traps, walls (wall strength) overall DPS, another Hero to deal with, bigger CC reinforcements etc...

its simple math really, and when you get to TH9 and you see how easy it is to fill your stores from Juicy-Lootsy TH8, you go there often to fill your plate! ha I made a rhyme it does not help your war disposition one bit, but it fills the storage bins quite efficiently.

why go to the 'sandwich store' when you can get a plate form the 'all you can eat buffet' for the same price?
I consider TH8 the back-bone of the economy, it acquires loot like no other TH, but it sadly cannot defend it at the same time. so that is the trade off IMO, you can rake it in and therefore it should not be a huge deal in terms of making loot. the trade off is there are only 225 walls and a few heavy elixir (Lab) things to dump massive loot into at TH8

one thing you have going for you is, eventually you get to go to TH9 (and then you will finally understand why TH8 is picked on so mightily)

When a Townhall 8 attcks a townhall 7 for dark elixir, he might get 1k max. When a townhall 9 attacks a townhall 8, he's averaging around 2,000. A townhall 9 gets easy access to loot while townhall 8's are stuck attacking each other for dark elixir, which reuires a little bit extra effort than a townhall 9.

Do you realize how much dark elixer is needed at TH9 compared to TH8? Allow me to enlighten you.

Assuming you already have a level 5 BK, level 2 minions and level 2 hog riders when you begin TH8, you will need 437,500 DE to max out the DE upgrades.

Assuming you have TH8 DE upgrades maxed when you begin TH9, you will need 4,862,500 DE to max out the DE upgrades.

Forgive me for not being sympathetic to the plight of TH8 villages. TH9 villages NEED to raid the TH8s.

TH9 also have way more time to farm DE for their upgrades. AQ takes 157 days to get to level 30. So it's not like they need to farm that much faster, unless you are constantly gemming upgrade time.

Why would I attack a th9 when I can easily find and attack a th8 th trapper? Sure, it's not really building any additional skills and I lose elixir and the opportunity to farm higher amounts of gold/de but it's just too hilarious to forego stomping someone's trapped base.

TH9 can also put all that "extra" elixir that TH8's are holding for them to good use.

I love collecting the th9 tax Just try and only save 1 or 2 resources at a time, if you're showing 300k each and 2k de we can't help ourselves. If you can't use your lix then just leave your lix storages outside, most th9s will happily take it and leave you alone.

I sure would like to see these TH8's that are giving me 2k DE. The most I've ever seen from a TH8 while TH9 was 1100 DE.
