That's how Clash essentially works. So how can you avoid losing loot in step 3? Well, the fact of the matter is that you can't. You can, however, lessen the blow by postponing step 2. Meaning that you will have to stay longer in step one by raiding in sessions.

Step 1: Raid 1 million

Step 2: Log off

Step 3: Get raided for 200k.

Profit for the session +800k.

So as a New to mid TH9, I should complain about those "Pesky" maxed out TH10's that steamroll me?

That's how Clash essentially works. So how can you avoid losing loot in step 3? Well, the fact of the matter is that you can't.

Not true, there are some very effective ways to avoid losing the loot.

First, if you have your town hall outside, and you occupy a league where there is a substantial league bonus, most of the time you will be quickly sniped and lose an insignificant quantity of loot. Once you have the resulting shield, your loot is perfectly safe until the shield runs out, or you break it.

Second, if you spend the loot on pretty much anything but troops and spells, you can't have it taken from you. Spend your loot before logging out, or queue up expensive troops (expensive per housing space occupied) in the barracks that will not be able to complete. When you come back, you cancel those troops and get the loot back. In the meantime, that elixir is off the table and perfectly safe.

You have a title saying "fix this", then you don't list anything which is broken to be fixed?

the fact we all find it irritating to be attacked does not mean anything is broken.
