I chose to go up there as a TH9 when my heroes were level 30 and simply attacked with mostly valks and my heroes. Along with jump (or earthquake) and heal spells this made it extremely easy to beat any TH9 I saw (even maxed bases like mine). I would just do one attack (not counting any snipes I found) and then log out with my TH in the corner until my heroes and spells were back up. Maintaining trophies was not too difficult as long as I occasionally chose to attack a base that had a lot of trophies (usually I waited to attack bases that had at least 400k of combined loot not counting the league bonus). If you are not trying to waste DE like I was (I had nothing to spend it on) and you are putting your heroes to sleep (which you should be doing if they are less than level 30) it will be a little more difficult but it is still worth doing. Champs 3 is the place to be for a TH9 that is willing to attack with an army more expensive than barch.
There's no loot in Champions lll, I'm a rushed TH9,theres just a bunch of TH10 with empry storages literally and no snipes . Someone suggested me yesterday here to drop to 818x cups (Masters 1) to find loot and still get the Champions bonus... I did it and it working for me..
Go to champions get the badge and Gems then drop to 318x cups, like i said you'll still get the Champions 180000 loot and 1200 DE Champions bonus there...
