How much dark to look for?

Hey Clashers!
I'm nolanhbk. Right now I am farming for level 2 golems. I was wondering was is the best league for a Townhall 8 to find good dark elixer. Also how much dark should a base have for me to take it? I am using Beaker's Townhall 8 farming army(64 archers, 60 barbs, 20 goblins, 8 giants, and 8 wallbreakers) If any of you guys have a better army could you tell me it and also breifly explain how to use it or include a video if possible? Thanks!

At TH8, you only need to get 4-500 DE to get a days worth of DE production from your drill, so anything above that is fine. Towards the end of the TH, when your walls are more and more maxed, you will be able to hold on to larger and larger quantities but you will also be able to steal more and more as your BK moves towards level 10.

When you start overflowing on Elixir, start pushing to Crystal (or further) with regular war armies and you will be able to get higher quantities of DE.

Personally, I am happy to get 1500-2500 DE per attack with a gibarch army in Crystal1-Masters3 (And I will flatten and steal from any TH8 I get matched with, sorry :-)

There's plenty stuff in the web, just google.

Getting loot is most about being lucky.
Crystal 3 and above is a pretty good point to look for, since you get some DE with league bonus - But also knowing about a lot people staying in silver and golds.
So just drop and raise through leagues to find a good spot for yourself, where you won't be overrun to heavy and find the loot you need.
At Crystal 1 and above you may start hitting a wall for farming, you will probably face a lot T9s.

I had no luck on silvers and golds, so I've been most time in Crystal 3 / 2 as T8 - a clanmate is around Silver 3 / 2 and did better progess. WE've started T8 with a difference of about two weeks, still the same as we did upgrading to T9.

1500k DE or more if it's in the inner core.
If it's easier to reach, I'm also fine with 500.

While farming DE don't focus too much on trophys.

I'd say look for around 1500-2500 dark elixer every raid, and go for every free Drill with atleast 50 DE in it, cause if you do this only 10 times you already have 500 easy and free Dark Elixer.

The best way to get dark elixir at TH8 is to raid in gold or crystal league, as they both have an abundant amount of dark elixir. Here's the army I use to crack up dark elixir storages: 12 giants, 80 archers, 40 barbs, and 10 wallbreakers. I cook 2 heal spells and 1 rage. I always make sure my barb king is ready for the raid.

Here's how I dark elixir farm: Look for bases with 1000+ dark elixir. When you find a base, try luring the clan castle with a giant or a barb. Kill the clan castle with your archers, if there is any. Don't use too much of your archers! Once that's done, launch your giants at the side you want to come in, then use all your barbs to clean out all the trash buildings on the side your giants are coming from. This is basically funneling the archers, your clan castle troops, and the barb king into the base towards the dark elixir storage. As your giants make their way into the base clearing defenses, be sure to heal them when needed. Use your wallbreakers by raging them up with your rage spell to crack the walls leading to the dark elixir storage. Deploy your archers, and make sure they have destroyed most of the buildings inside the base in the way that might make your barb king go another path. Once a path has been cleared to the dark elixir storage, use your barb king to reach the dark elixir storage, and use your king's ability when he reaches it.

Anyways, this is how I dark elixir farm at TH8, and I hope it helps

at least a 1000 with with army but id take out 12 archers and 8 barbs and add another 4 giants and maybe take out another 4 barbs 4 arch and add 4 wbs

At TH8, I never really sought after a minimum amount of DE as there are so little upgrades to do with DE and more with elixir and gold, that I just accumulated it through dead bases. My king was level 10 in atleast a month after going to TH8. If you really want DE fast, just go to C1 or M3 and farm off the loot bonus for a while. You'll get DE very quickly and then you can go back to your usual farming spot. It's quite easy, plus you can get 1000 gems if you haven't already.
