I never zapped DE in the 2 years i spent playing COC, except for when i had too much lightning spells and i need to get rid of them for war purposes.

Sorry but Im glad that its changed. Now I can finally protect my DE and opponents need to fight to get it.

I normally try to got for 2 and more stars when I raid, that means I go straight for the middle.

I totally agree that dark elixir should be harder to come by, and zapping someone's hard earned dark elixir was horrible, in my opinion.

You protect that DE storage with everything you've got, and someone with a few lightnings can just take it? I always thought that was misguided.

People still feel lazy and try to zap me anyways. Yesterday some th7 dropped 1 lightning and saw it didn't work. He then decided to drop another and then another after that.

Depending totally on Zapping is wrong.
But, I used to zap when I was in the champion to do some loot bonus farming.
For me, zapping was just to help not the only way.

I dont like this update (and before you ask i have a th9 and a th10 acc farming heroes so i always have alot of de on both) not because i dont get zapped but it affects the food chain too much and will make it hard for new players to come as it doesnt just mean they cant zap. With this update many th9's and 10's i know have dropped to silver after this update and not because loot has changed at all it is that the fear of being zapped de has dissapeared. Now wheres the problem well th7-8 farm there (generally th7 are in lower silver leagues and th8's are in high silver low gold farming) so they are being obliterated without hope of keeping their loot overnight now everyone likes easy loot but is aggressively wiping out these lower town halls the future of the game wise because everyone here would have been discouraged after being bullied a few times but every attack to be a bully that's a bit much. for higher town halls it was a god send but you were artificially lowering your trophies and not just letting your def holding you in a decent range which is where this issue has sourced from as those artificially lowering were the ones complaining and the ones rejoicing, the ones in a range their defenses were suited in (my th10 acc maintains m1 even with me losing battles as idc about trophies) i never ever got zapped in months. zapping gave a reason for h9's and 10's to not just drop where they want and farm the weak the common complaint about zapping is it bypassed defenses but isnt that what farming on a lower town hall also do?

Firstly, I don't understanding what do you mean by "food chain". Being low on the food chain you will always be eaten by someone higher, that is how food chain works... If a TH8 zaps a TH10 that's breaking the food chain. 2 years back it was much harder then it is now, we all have been crushed as a TH8 before, the only difference between us is... i do not complain(maxed Th10 now).

To all those who say, learn how to farm etc:
You are just as lazy as the zappers. You hang out in silver to barch-farm the collectors of the dead bases.
why dont you push up to G2+? for sure you face tougher opponents, but you wont get zapped there.
you could have been adapt and push up, but you choose the easy way and whine on the forums until SC chnaged it.

I think the trophy-specific storage protecion is a good idea. so the player can choose:
easy loot in silver and getting zapped or "not so" easy loot in higher leagues and no zapping.
But for sure the lazy ones would whine again
