Unhappy with the Resource Protection Update?

Well, I'm gonna get straight to the topic. When the update came out removing the advantage of lightning spell in damaging storages, I was pretty disappointed. That's because Lightning Spell was pretty much the only way I farmed Dark Elixir which is mostly in the center of one's base. So, I just wanna know how many of you share this disappointment and how many think that the update was for the 'Greater Good' or whatever? Am I wrong on being so dependent on the lightning spell?

Why unhappy man? if you just know how's the feeling when you get a 2000+ DE in farming
then you told your self, " YES! only 10,500 more DE to upgrade my GOLEM! "
then a wild Th9 with Lvl 5 Lightning appears, Lights 4 times your DE Storage. So be happy

I had never zapped. Now my queen is 37 and King is 30 . I didn't farm de before I got my queen . My hh is 5.5 millions.
Before the update, I got zapped average 10 k a day . I was going to quit the game when I got to th10 because I got zapped by th10 s . 5 lightning . 2 k gone . Think about when u reach th9 or th10 one day . If u just use zapping , ppl zap more than u zap. Think it through . Kiddo

If you are th6. You are wrecking th5's to get your loot. How will they (th5) get their loot back? They can't. Plain and simple.

Same way th7 wrecking th6. No they can't even if they could have zapped it. No de use to them

Same way th7 can't zap th8 who wrecked them and th8's can't zap th9's who wrecked them


Game has always been this way. Ask SC to change game for you if you think it's wrong or make your own game where only same levels can hit each other or higher


And about your argument on higher th can't be attacked by lower th. Make drags and run havoc on th8 as th7. You can get de easily with it. Earn your revenge by actually attacking with troops like they did to get your storages. As th8 you can drag or gowipe th9 to get de. It's not rocket science. If you are hitting higher th. Make tougher army than barch and say I can't attack

This. If you are going to attack someone stronger than you, put in the effort. Getting a freebie shot is cheap.

They took out zapping storages, but DE in collectors is more than ever due to MATCHMAKING changes. I was 4 million DE grab before the update, I'm at 6.8 million now!

Well,if its de you want you shouldn't care about normal elixir.These barchers an gibarch dont get me any de.So,well,I just pick up 5 drags and 13 balloons and go stealing.If your really that used to zapping,try looking for a de drill thats full and zap it although you should try the above army to get the most out of it.Mass dragon should work too for you.

In short, preupdate you were terrible and lazy. Living off of the fruits others worked hard to get. Post update, at least you realize it. As others have said, gibarch will get you there. Now ya gotta work for it. Welcome to the club and good luck!

Teach me how to gibarch.It gets me no de.I prefer mass dragon/dragloon.Hey Im not spending any de in this army so it works.

I think zapping should be brought back for revenge only.
It might stop those other noobs who can only attack weaker opposition using barch, I've always sat in chrystal to masters doing full on raids. Since this update all the barchers who tend to have no idea how to attack full on have scuttled to the lower leagues knowing nobody can revenge them.
So I say nay to zapping on a first attack, but yay revenge.

Agree. So no storage protection during a revenge attack(in other word, allowed direct damaging spells to damaging storages).
