What's the point of upgrading to TH10?

Can't see the point in making a thread asking a question, then venting your angst at every reply.
Also can't see the point in staying at a self-imposed ceiling, but that's your game your choice.

Preferably you can continue your journey without coming here again.

some people tend to want to glorify what they currently have because they're intimidated and is scared of what's to come.

I'm a maxxed TH9 except for walls (25/250 Lavas) and heroes (16/16). I don't see the point of going to TH10 once I max out my heroes and walls. TH9 is the best place to be at for war. You can unlock all troops and spells (except freeze) at TH9, which gives various attack strategies to choose from. Once I get 30/30 heroes, I'll be 3-starring TH9 with relative ease. It's the funnest TH level to be at by far.

At this point, I don't see any motivation at all to upgrade to TH10 once I max out my heroes and walls. Plus, TH10 seems too stressful, which will take my enjoyment out of the game.

im at 16/16 heroes too. about 30% lvl 9 walls. i think imma stay here at least until everything is done. especially since we can spend elixir on walls. theres nothing at th10 except the awesome drills. u have to face infernos but u just get 20 more troop space and and like 1 lvl higher troops. unless they add a third hero at th10 i dont think ill be going unlit i absolutely have nothing to do here.

check out this 3 star on max th9 with gowiwipe + hogs (low lvl golems cuz ive been focising on heroes since i mainly use lavaloon variations) (but now im working on gowipe stuff)

What's the point of upgrading from TH7 or 8?

You get more walls.

You have a chance at defending against 3* attacks in war.

You get an archer queen.

You can use elixir for walls.

You unlock new troops.

I mean, do you even play the game??

That is not a max TH9.

It has a bunch of purple (lvl7) and some pink (lvl6) walls.

Also the heroes are very low level. A level 8 AQ is 22 levels away from TH9 max and a level 10 BK is 20 levels away. So that base has, as well as a TON of wall levels, 42 hero levels yet to go before it's a max TH9.

Not to mention the really dumb layout.

Then say "maxed defenses"...purple walls and 10/8 heroes are pathetic for a TH9, particularly one that has maxed the defenses. That base design was also pathetic. Just sayin'
