What is the objective of Clash of Clans?

In every game there is always an objective. Whether it be three-star all the levels, or make the most money, or have the most friends.

While in Clash of Clans, there are many things to do, such as maxing, rushing, getting to the top, maxing the walls or getting a level 10 clan. But what do you think is the final, end-game objective of Clash of Clans?

Personally, I would say my final objective for the game is to max everything in my base. (Never going to happen. )

Once i max out, never going to happen for me atleast, I'm going to quit the game, im too addicted and don't like it, if I do max out, again, never going to happen, it will feel like an achievement that I finished this game and I can move on in life.

Although I do appreciate you could say maxing your base is the objective I think that misses the point of online, multi player games. When I play the latest COD I often don't even bother with the story mode and simply hit the online multi player....that is how I look at Clash.
The base may be the ladder you keep climbing but the top isn't the objective for me...it sounds very 'Mary Poppins' I know but the objective for me is enjoyment...I genuinely pity the people with unlimited funds who simply instantly gem every update because they can , if at the same time they don't have the buzz of a close war win or finally finishing those damn lavas. (This not the view of Supercell and all it's subsidiaries..I checked)

It's like life. The pursuit of whatever is important to you at any particular moment is the objective, and it changes over time. So you could either say that there isn't one, or you could say that the objective is to pursue changing objectives.

I have several, in case anyone wonders.

1) Know when to quit. My wife is still seriously invested in the game. My kids (who are the reason we started playing to begin with) are not. My interest has most definitely waned, though I still consider clash the best use of free time about 40% of the time. Down from 80%.

2) Set up all three of my accounts so that they are optimized for war. One is.

3) Get each of my first two accounts to 5,000 wins. They each have 3,000 but neither has more than 3,700. Pursuit of this goal is trumped by the first one if they conflict.

The achievements are a nice goal. Some (fire fighter) require enough work to be considered an objective.

As for maxing your base, it will come just by finishing your achievements. Trust me when you will have destroyed 5000 infernos, your troop will be maxed and your walls will be close to max.

In my case, I have a deadline. In December I'll decide if the game still have enough to continue playing. I have two TH10 accounts and I'm quite bored right now. Upgrading spells that are equally effective at level 1 or level 4 isn't what I call fun.

My objectives are these:
Have a fully maxed base (Maybe not the walls though. I have a life)
Be the Leader of a loyal war clan.
Get to Titan 3 league
And complete all achievements!

I think I'll never really get bored of this game. You know why? Because I'd love socializing with my loyal war clan! And attacking in clan wars

For me I'm pretty sure if it wasn't for wars I'd be done playing. The endless farming to max the base is nice and all but I enjoy the action of wars especially when the are close coming down the final stretch.
