I've always heard about the "builder lag", never knew it affected barracks too.

So, I started training troops for clan wars. Cooking a few golems and other troops for my attack, checked my dark barrack it was at 58:37 checked war timer it was at 57:01 left in preparation day, I must have closed clash of clans about 8-10 times. Logged in when 12s was left on the war timer, checked my dark barracks, 3:26 was left on my final golem. I've never personally noticed the builder time bug myself, but I've heard 100s of complaints about it over the years. Although 3 or so minutes isn't a big deal to me, this bug is ridiculous. Has anyone else experienced the barracks issue?

EDIT: Did some additional searching and found this. In b4 close

We have no plans to fix this bug, despite the problems and concerns related to it that you have all raised.

Fixing this bug would require us to rewrite the code from scratch, in a completely different programming language. This simply will not happen.

This thread and any future ones on this subject are and will be closed.

It's a timer bug not a specific builder bug. Affects everything except shield times. Every time you open the app, visit a base etc it adds time to everything.

Wow, this is the first I've heard of this. That's pretty messed up. Since they've publicly stated they are too lazy to fix a known issue which is adversely impacting paid services, perhaps an official complaint would be warranted? Their US operations is located out of San Francisco, so a formal complaint to the SF BBB would be a good start. We could always file a complaint with the FTC as well.

LOL, and then on to the US Supreme Court!

It's such a minor issue, get real man.

Technically all timers are a Lie on a paid service since they arent accurate. And a way they could easily fix this is to find out how much time it adds for every action and subtract it from the remaining time. It literally wouldnt be that hard to fix

And here, kids, is a perfect stereotype of the "complacent consumer".

A minor issue which impacts millions of players multiple times a day? Practically the only thing Supercell sells is time, and you're going to sit here and pretend like secretly stacking it back on when you're not looking is a fair practice? This is the kind of blatant consumer abuse these kinds of agencies were created for. And like filling out a form on the agency's website is so much work! SMH.

Most games with timers are merely displaying a countdown on a static end-date/time. Items like boosts are also calculated server-side. The client, itself, shouldn't be controlling the time whatsoever. The thought it's even doing so is mind-boggling...
