At least the grass looks really pretty!
I think this has happened to me 5 times so far but with only one spell not 2.
I guess a lot of people miss-click jump spells a lot. I mean, explains why the grass is green.
Just happened to me in war, I did a lavaloonion deployed the first 2 rage spells, I switched to poison and saw it highlighted I pressed it and a freaking rage landed on top of the CC troops outside the base UGH!!!...
Not cool at all...
It is happening a lot more lately. I had several wasted spells in wars. Not to mention normal raiding. I hope it gets corrected soon.

too many times.... and thinking that it would suffice that the game emits a high volume beep each time you select a differente troop/spell... i wouldn't need to concentrate on the bar checking that what i selected is highlighted... that would be at least 1 second of valuable time and i usually don't have it
What happened?I have never heard of purple grass in the game.

This has happened to me before prior to the update with the glitch, so to place the blame entirely on the glitch is a bit unfair.
every heal and rage spell touches the grass, therefore, my answer is:
every time
