Was your queen always sleep cause before the DE spells and lvl 4 dragons time on the queen upgrade was about the same as time on the lab. It might have been less

Depends on your goal. It's odd what you have left pekka, loons, minion, and wall breakers. In th9 you're main war attacks will be gowipe (variations), lavaloonian. With gibarch for farming. It's like your missing a piece of every puzzle so you can't have any maxed attacks. I'd at least upgrade one known attack all the way through so you aren't stuck in th9 without the troops you need. If you aren't gonna war do whatever.
Valk, healer , gob, de spells are optional imop. Although I'm really looking foward to maxing earthquake & haste
Upgrade to th9. Walls and heroes take forever at th9 so you can catch up on your lab easily.

I did have the same problem. What I did was start a lab upgrade time it so that I can still do 1 long upgrade or 2 short ones while waiting for my th and during the new lab upgrade at th9.
