Should I stay th8 to finish upgrading all my troops?

Here is where I find myself.... I have maxed out every defense, structure and walls in my th8 base. However, I still have about 50 days worth of upgrading to do in my lab to max out the upgrades for my troops. Should I stay as a strong th8 and max out all my troops before going to th9. Or should I jump now to th9?

Some things to consider...
- I have 5 to 12 days waiting in between each troop upgrade.
- if I raid villages, I just accumulate more loot which makes me a more attractive target.
- I can't spend any more of my gold until I start the th9 upgrade.
- Will upgrading my troops make me stronger vs my ranked equal in clan wars, or will I just be facing a tougher opponent with each troop upgrade completed?
- if I upgrade to th9, it will be more challenging to collect loot during raids, ultimately making it more difficult to upgrade my troops.

What would you do?

If you are planing on maxing th9 there will be a ton of down time on your lab. So you will have plenty of time to make it up

What do you need to finish in lab? I maxed out TH8 defensively, but left minions at 3 and valks at 1 when I went to TH9.

What would you do?

Maxing your lab is very important before upgrading to the next town hall. It's better to be prepared attack wise then defense wise.

Although, if it's troops you never use, or troops you plan to not really use at TH9, then you can go ahead and upgrade. Though, it's much more beneficial if you max your lab.

Really depends on what is left in your lab and whether or not you are going to need them in TH9.

If you really want to war and don't want to have to play catch up in TH9 then you really want the following maxed in your lab before proceeding:

• Hogs
• Loons
• Golems
• Minions
• And perhaps pekkas

If all you are waiting on is:

• dragons
• healer
• goblins
• Lightning
• poison & Earthquake

I would upgrade.

The top list is basically a combination of troops which are widely used in 3 star strats at TH9. The bottom list apart from healers are not that widely used in 3 star strats, (healer is the exception but you really need a high level AQ to use them effectively and by the time you get a high level AQ 20+ you will have had enough time to catch up on the healer upgrade). The benefits of maxing poison and EQ are negligible.

Heroes and walls will probably take longer.

Do balloons, wall breakers and minions. You can leave the rest.

If you wanted to time this properly:

TH will take 10 days
New lab is 5 days
= 15 days

Loon: 5 days
wall breaker: 5 days
minion: 7 days
= 17 days

I would start my one of the above lab upgrades and then 2 days later start the TH upgrade. Then I would load one of the troops upgrades before you upgrade the lab so than once the lab is done you can start on TH9 troops.

That would be the path I would go.
