Champs matchmaking

So, my first run up. I thought after champs the TH matching wasn't in place. I haven't even seen a TH9 in two weeks...much less TH8 or lower.

Did I miss that champs got the same matchmaking as lower levels?

In champs all I see as a TH9 are maxed TH10s in Masters (I, II, or II) and Champs III. It's very rare I'll see a TH9 unless they're in Crystal but then they're worth nothing to me trophy wise.
I have seen one or two TH9s in Champs III, but that is a few in a weeks worth of being in Champs.

In the end, you have to be able to fight maxed TH10s, or be willing to next for an hour or two. Sucks when you boost

You got it backwards. The new matchmaking doesn't effect champs and up.

But you're not going to find many th9s anyway.

Last time I was north of 3200 I did find one th8 for 32 cups lol

Hi. Matchmaking totally change.

I'm in Champ 1 for arround 1month as max th8. I rarely see th8 in my league and most th8 i encountered only gives me 1 trophy for 3 stars but i still grab it. My only concern as th8 in champ 1 is how did a master 3 reach me and grab a 19 trophy for 1 star and at times that i defended their attacks they leave me a zero trophy and grab 200-300k of my loots. Its a won but looks like a defeat for lossing loots and gaining no trophy. By the way the attacks i mention above are not a revenge.

So this mean that the higher league you are with a th7-9 the lower chance you will match against at your same th level. Why? Hmm maybe because there are few low level th in higher league like champs.

I'm in the high 3400 range and I have run into several th9's in past 2 days (3 today)...they are only a 1 cup offer for me, so I pass them by.

Huh? That change was before the implementation of titan and legend.

I am a TH9 in Champs 3, and i rarely find other TH9's. Pretty much every base i find are TH10's...

Three days ago (when I was still a TH9 in champs 3) I saw a decent number of TH9's. I'm not sure exactly how common they were. Maybe 10 to 15%. Possibly less than that. But they were 10 times more common than they are now that I am a TH10.

From what I have heard (and seen) when they added titan's league they also extend the TH matchmaking so that even in champs you are faced with town halls that are almost exclusively within one level of your own town hall level. One of the biggest changes this has caused (in addition to seeing far fewer TH9's now that I am a TH10) is that it takes me far longer to get attacked now. When I was a TH9 I would be attacked almost instantly upon logging out every time I logged out without a shield (which was about 10 times a day). As a TH10, even with the exact same base layout (which is the town hall unprotected in the corner and easily snipeable), it takes far, far longer for me to get attacked.

This makes a lot of sense when you think about it. TH9's in champs are relatively uncommon. When a TH8 is around that level there are not many bases for them to attack so they get priority on every TH7, TH8, and TH9 base that is around their trophy level. I got attacked by TH8's all the time as a TH9 and when I wasn't getting immediately attacked by TH8's I was getting immediately attacked by TH9's. TH10 attackers were relatively uncommon. Now that I am TH10 I am one of a million bases in that trophy range available for other TH10's to attack. Even though my base is still super desirable to attack (who doesn't want an effortless snipe for the champ loot bonus?), it can sometimes take 30 minutes or even an hour for anyone to even be offered my base because there are so many TH10's for the other TH10's to sort through.

So, in a nut shell, I am pretty sure champs matchmaking works exactly the same as the lower leagues and it has ever since they did the dark spell factory update.

I've been up in champ 3200-3800 for the past 2 months. Occassionally will see a TH9, roughly about one in 300-500 next over many attacks.
TH8 I've seen before also, let's estimate at about 1 in 2000+ next. Or maybe 3000-5000 nexting.

The rest are all TH10, whether maxed or TH9 defenses. Sometimes TH8 defenses but very rare.
