upper gold and crystal are the way to go! I got my king up 5 to 6 lvls just by crystal farming

Personally, Gold III was great for me as a TH 8.

Another thing to do is to change your raiding pattern. Raiding once and logging off will only result you getting smashed.

The key here is to raid in sessions, at least 3 raids before even considering logging off, and I consistently do 3 hours at a time if I can (when I was TH9). It does not matter how bad your defenses are, if you're logged on, you cannot be raided. After a good session of 3 raids, you'll earn at least 600k each so that when you log out, losing 300k isn't as bad.

Clear out two hours in your schedule during the weekend and use a mere 40 gems to boost your barracks with a Barch army and search for abandoned collector bases. Should net anywhere from 2-4 million in your resources. Then log off and get hit for a measley 200k.

exactly the reason they changed the multi matching. Gem boost sessions.

overall decent base. Put you king near the center and make sure your CC is always full.

Moving up in trophy range should help you as well.

Gold has been great to me and it should be to you too.

Also spend your loot when you get it. Play in sessions. Should be easy to loot 2-2.5 mill a sess to upgrade something.
