    -A MAJOR PROBLEM with pathing is while a regular troop will sit and attack the closest target (often times away from defensive structures if tanks did their job), the Valks often run from a potentially "safe" spot where they could attack 1 building and run into a clustered area where multiple defenses and/or traps can damage them.

    3) Too susceptible to traps (spring & giant bombs). They often run in packs and go flying or get bombed in bunches. In comparison, I've had many individual golems or pekkas trigger a single giant bomb or trap with minimal consequence. Valks would be a lot stronger if they were resistant to spring traps.

    4) DE cost too hefty for Valks, as they often require pairing with other DE troops (e.g., golems). Raids get expensive

    5) LVL 5 required with a small damage boost and significant health boost would help make them viable again.


    Summed it up pretty well

    I've seen them used in my clan, sometimes they can work really well, but some people here insist that you can throw them in on every attack, every base, and 3*

    They are terrible. They are too focused on getting between building instead of actually attacking, making them easy targets for defenses. They also don't have the health to sustain the damage they bring to themselves. With that said, 8 housing space is quite a waste of space and a single cheap spring trap could have a big impact on the attack.

    Mass max valk with quake is a great way for th9 to 2 star even strong th10. I've done it many times. They don't like ring bases, dragons or wiz.

    By mass I mean 10-14. 2 golems, some wiz, 1 or 2 rage. One heal. In such numbers they are like an armour piercing bullet. Punching clean through a core and out the other side.

    The tools are there. You just have to find a way to make them work. People use just a few and think they are ♥♥♥♥. But on a compartment base, with jump, and now especially with quake. They can be deadly. Keep them from straying into outer compartments and they are strong.

    Anti 3 star th10 bases are easy 2 star meant for a th9 with decent royals and max valks. Freeing up th10 to crush lesser bases.

    They take up too much housing space. (More than a giant? Weird, she must pack heavy)

    They take too long to train.

    They're expensive and have one of the worst cost/benefit upgrade ratios in the game. (30% more cost, 10% more power)

    They over-prioritize buildings during attack. (Don't mind that cannon/archer tower/whatever tearing you to bits)

    They're slow, against a Barch they always run up to the Barbs, pause, get mauled, kill the barbs, then get finished off by the archers. It's mostly pointless.

    It's not that they're totally useless, it's just that there's two somethings better and cheaper for any task. So yeah, they kinda suck.

    Never expected valks discussion would stretch this long. Valkyries work on certain bases and could make your attacks variable than just lalooon, goho and like gowiwi, they can guarantee a two star while the right way could bring a three star war attack. Valks like any other troops have their pros and cons but why don't give them a chance.

    Valks are underused. They don't suck. SC doesn't nerf valks because they are one of the most underused troopes.

    Im excited to try out my valks when lvl 4 finishes in the lab.

    I have read alot of posts about them not being viable at th10, but I think that it is base dependent. I watched Spencer23$ YouTube perfect attack series, and there are th10s three starring other th10s with them.

    I don't have an illusion that they are the greatest troop in the game, but I feel like they have their place.

    A few things come to mind:

    Training time, housing space and they cost DE... not many people want to use DE troops to farm.

    If they didn't get effected by spring trips I would definitely use them more! I have to say, GoVaLo is extremely OP on certain bases in CW..
