I had 12 hours left on upgrading my dragons to level 2. I thought I would see if I could simultaneously upgrade my laboratory. I thought I would at least receive a message telling me that my current upgrade would be lost if I continued with upgrading the laboratory. But I didn't. The laboratory started upgrading and I don't see anything happening with my dragons. I don't find it fair that I would lose the time and elixer without being warned. Can someone please help me. Thanks in advance!

After the laboratory finishes upgrading (however long that takes), your dragon should be completed right after.
The game needs to refresh to show that your dragon is level 2.

The research will continue whilst your Lab upgrades, so in this case, with only 12hrs left, it will finish before the Lab finishes upgrading.(although you will not see it, nor be able to receive the benefits)
You may well need to close & then restart the App to see this take effect, once the Lab has finished.
