Thread: Are lava walls worth it?

    The question isn't really whether lava walls are worth it, the question is whether lava walls are worth delaying TH10 to do at TH9. Others have hit it on the head. The real question is do you want zaps at TH10? If you do, then do lavas at TH9. If you don't, then don't bother doing lavas at TH9, move to TH10, and do lavas there.

    My personal opinion is that you'd be better served getting heroes to 20+, all troops done, all defenses done, then move to TH10 and start upping troops, heroes, and defenses there while working on lavas.

    I'm grinding my walls to max as a TH9, and I have to say I'm glad I am. That's only because I'm behind on hero levels and I'm in no rush to get to TH10. Other players that want to be a TH10 quickly- well you can probably do without them. I will say they a very good thing to have if war is be in your style of play. Th10s can't bring their infernos with them, I've had maxed troops and spells come at me and been able to hold off the three star. Others may feel its better in their style of play to get up to TH10 and lay down infernos. To each his own.

    I did full lava and maxed my royals before I jumped to TH10. To be honest, grinding walls and heroes were super boring and it did not add much value to your base defensively. TH10 could still take whatever they wanted from my maxed TH9 base.

    However, after my jump to TH10 with full lava and 30/30 heroes, the transition to TH10 was a breeze. I did not have to worry about walls and heroes and have been solely focusing on upgrading troops and defenses. Many said going to TH10 is tough but with lava and heroes out of the way, I actually find it quite fun and easy.

    Here is my take on walls. As a th9 you should be full lego with some lavas before going to th10. I would max heros, but I wouldn't let lavas hold me up from th10.

    As a th10, legos are usually good enough, but if you want to push high, 4000+ or you want to be super competitve at war, you should get lavas. The 2 vs 3 wb requirement is huge. So many high level attacks fail because of wb failures.

    Having said all that, my army comp has 4 jump spells in it and i jump over blue walls every day.

    This is exactly why you would do them.

    I think th9's think level 10 walls are awesome because they are still stuck with the level 5 wb, and with only 4 spells jump seems a waste to pack 2-3 of them. At th10 everything changes, walls aren't a hindrance. Heros however are a HUGE advantage. You are far better off going with higher level heros.

    The jump to lava walls increases wbs needed from 2 to 3. I maxed walls at th9 and have 93 blue now at 10. I can't count how many times my walls saved me from an extra star in war due to heroes and golems beating on walls.

    We both have max heroes and max troops. I have 40 more zaps. He has 3 more max cannons.

    Absurd if you ask me, with walls weighing so much and Earthquake spells I have never felt more ripped off for my damn hard work getting walls up.

    Hey that would me....and its 37 now (had a good morning boost session...)
    But yeah walls are the bees knees in CW....count for far too much, when we just jump, fly, smash, quake or if you are an AQ walk around them....

    However Lava walls do make the attacker take extra Wallbreakers....So yeah do your walls but do them last

    IMO above lvl9 walls you should just dump your excess loot in walls. Now i have 179 lava walls but with 5 builders always working non stop.
    Its acceptable to have one builder free for walls but absolutely there is no point to stay with 4-5 idle builders in TH9 and just do lava walls.
    Just my opinion.
