    TH10 has made the game not fun for me

    EDIT: It should be 'less fun', instead of 'not fun'.

    I upgraded to Th10 around two months ago. Please note the key words - 'for me'. For some people, it might be heavenly.

    Why do I feel this way?

    - Builders are busy for so long that I have literally nothing to do unless I go for wall upgrades. I have some lvl 9 walls and a few lvl 10 ones, and I honestly do not care for walls anymore. Anyone worth his salt ignores all but the outermost walls anyway, and the rest just fail. In almost a year of warring, I have seen just two decent TH10 being 3 starred. When people are struggling to get 2 stars on my base, it is just not a factor.

    - Infernos: These are probably the most fun-sucking defences designed in the game. There is just no room for error, whether you are trying to tank the rays with a lot of golems or using freeze. You miss a spell or troop placement by just a couple of seconds and you are doomed. Your whole game becomes managing infernos somehow. Every war attack feels more like a job than a game, to be honest. Attacking enemy TH10 in Champion was less stressful even though I had just a minute to plan.

    I have been warring since TH6, and never did I have any problems in adapting to new strategies. From giant-healer to dragons to hogs to gowipe to golaloon to hogowi to even valkyries, I have tried everything and 3 starred equal bases with every one of them, along with the occasional failures. Even as a new TH10, I was constantly 2 starring enemies. But in a cruel twist, it is actually becoming harder to attack even though my troops, spells and heroes (lvl 22+20) are becoming stronger. I still succeed most of the time, but it feels too stressful.

    Sometimes I wonder if I should just become a casual player, or just quit. Although quitting is unlikely because of the time I have already put in. Any tips for making war attacks more fun? Because I honestly do not need a second job. Is it never going to get better?

    PS: The one positive thing: farming with these heroes is a breeze, even though they are rarely available.

    Watching our th10s , you have described exactly why I don't want to be a th10. I think y'all need a inferno tower troop. Just works against infernos, 35 spaces.
    Hope it gets better for you.

    Yes, build times to increase drastically.

    If you have 5 builders, keep 4 busy on upgrades, and leave 1 for walls. That way your storages won't fill up, it is most annoying when your storages are full...and then you can't even raid because it is pointless to fill "filled" storages

    Take time off the war roster, max those heros and all other necessary troops and come back with the ability to 3 star decent th10s. Of course it is not easy but with maxed heros it is more viable and while you are off war build that hunger again.

    Another option is to start a new account and get back to th9 for fun wars.

    Or you can just wait, the game changes so quickly who knows what tomorrow will bring. You have to adapt or die. That is a crash course in evolution...

    Good luck either way

    I hear this way too often. If you genuinely don't find this game enjoyable anymore just drop it asap. Don't make it feel like a chore. Don't think about all the time you invested in the game, think about how much time you could be saving in the future if you stop playing it now.

    Tbh, I suggest you take a break and come back in about a month or two. You'll either regain your interest in the game or just not play it at all

    I am th9. I can pretty much 3 star most th9s I see. I sometimes attack with my friends th10 and I must admit it's much more complicated than th9 attacking.
    Th6 --> 2004 Cups
    Th7 --> 2020 Cups
    Th8 --> 2480 Cups
    Th9 --> 3208 Cups
    Th10-->4918 Cups

    Guys, once again, I am sorry about the mistake in the title. It should be 'less fun', instead of 'no fun'. If it were no fun, I would just quit. I am also pleasantly surprised that there were no troll responses

    I am not really one for rerolling in any game. But I think cooling down a bit and upgrading heroes in the meantime might be the right thing to do. I will try to go down to one war per week next time, and if that isn't enough, no wars until my heroes are better.

    Thanks for the suggestion. I am sorry about the mistake, it is still fun. Just less so and much more stressful than before. But yes, if it ever became no fun, I would just quit.

    I think I will scale down my war commitment for now. People 10 hero levels below me have now caught up with me.

    Yeah, the game changes radically at TH10. I see people posting videos of TH10 3 star attacks, and then I see that almost all of them are rocking max or near max heroes. I am not willing to buy that many gems.

    I have known so many amazing TH9s that love the game, completely addicted and never log off. That have ended up quitting within a week of going to TH10.

    There are people in my clan who are completely dreading it already and they aren't even that close to maxing th9.

    I think it may be because at TH9 you can be a 6* war superstar with skill but at TH10 you aren't getting 6* against max TH10s without some additional help.

    You really don't need to buy gems to max your heroes but it does take a long time. My last level of BK is currently upgrading and I haven't purchased any resources.

    Having said that, even with max heroes, 3 star attacks against decent TH10s are few and far between. Most of them you see on the web have had help from magical bunnies and they never show you the countless fails. TH10 attacking is just a big step up in terms of difficulty from TH9.

    If you are bored then probably just take a break and see if you come back with refreshed interest.

    If you want to quit then max your collectors and place them in the corners and enjoy your life.
