LavaDragLoon with LVL 4 Dragons... 🐲

So I was wondering as to how effective LavaDragLoon could be for TH9s in particular compared to other air-based attack formations now that Lvl 4 dragons are available...

Has anyone tried / seen this? Does the extra level of dragon make this a preferable formation over say LavaLoonIon?

Minions > Dragons in my opinion. Drags are too slow and don't really back up the hounds or loons. Just my opinion though.

A clan mate of mine tried it out and lets just say the result wasn't good..

There's not enough of a stat bump on either 3-4 or 4-5 to turn it into a go-to strat for me.

Been meaning to do a little experimenting with go-drag on max th10s with my lv5s to wrap up easy safe 2s but haven't got round to it.

1) 4 dragons, 3 hounds, rest loons (3 starred TH9 & TH10)
2) 5-6 dragons, 2 hounds, rest loons (2 starred TH10)

All good.

p.s I war without heroes... i m sure if i had heroes, it will be easier to get 3 stars.

My maxed TH9 has been hit with maxed drag/loon and lvl2 hound twice- scared me going in but held up both times...a 2 and 1 star. I thought for sure it would be wrecked but both attackers were not very good, spammers.

My mini watched a TH9 get hit with two hounds and maxed drags, loons in CC and somehow that went badly too.

Probably could have done the same or better with another hound and just loons.

I have tried LaDraLo with mixed results. I need to keep experimenting with the spell composition I think. Here's what I tried:

2+1 hound
4 dragons
rest loons (16 I think)

3 rage 3 haste

I three starred a TH9 with no cc troops and a queen down and lv 6 AD I think. May be viable for TH 8.5s .. but that's a LOT of lab time to get ready for it.
I had 2 dragons, 10 pups and 4-6 loons left over.

I one starred a TH9 with lv 7 AD and xbows up with CC trooops and a queen. Could have been my poor deployment. Could have been a bad base choice. Maybe both
