Hog attack in war, post-update...

After previously telling our newer players how easy a CC dragon is to kill, I do this:

1) lure it and take it to a corner building 2) drop poison spell 3) Put down a wizard in front of it and another behind it, etc.

4) Wizards ignore dragon and start shooting the building. !!!!!!!

All wizards and archers gone, dragon chasing hogs, and that was that.

Even worse is when you find an epic raid and accidentally hit the next button before it sinks in that the numbers have more zeroes than you're used to.

Whenever I fail a war attack I get that feeling, I just want to find a hole and stay in there for a while.

If you look at the layout closely, you can tell that your Giants would path off to the sides. You should placed 8 giants each side and a couple of archers to clear out the structures and then spam the rest into the middle- those 'ring' like bases where the defenses are placed generally in a circular fashion are pretty easy to manipulate.

Alternatively, you could use more simple-minded armies like BARCH or BAM and aim for dead collector bases
