The Feeling when you just want to sink into the earth and disappear...

Have you guys ever seen a base, just loaded with juicy loot, and within easy reach of your troops? A base which you would be confident of coring out with troops especially suited to the task, like in the picture below?



And then completely faceplanted in the subsequent raid, your mouth open in horror as your troops rather idiotically avoided the main core and started clearing out the sides, with all the defences hitting at them.

So basically one heal spell and an army worth over 100k elixir later,



Unfortunately i had forgotten that my cc troops were loons, not archers or wizards. So releasing them at the end of a raid as desperate backup for my faltering main army kind of failed massively, .

So when was the last time you guys faltered on an embarrassingly easy base? I know you must have done so sometime, everyone does it, ! So share your experiences with us, makes us laugh!

Damn that sucks dude, but it happens to all of us! i have it happen a lot queen goes shopping and king hits walls etc, small things go wrong = whole raid fails

That's why I loonion, not many bases outside of Max TH9 or TH10 can defend against them.

I completely botched a raid on that same type of base (the th8 version). Was 2.5 k de away from a lvl 10 king and hadn't really found a lot of big raids, plus it was late. So I pretty much forgot to funnel so the king went off to the side. It turned a jackpot raid into a complete disaster.

1.) Use jump and rage. This combination works really well after the build time reduction.

2.) Take goblins with you. Under heal they are very effective in a group. If healed and under rage a group of 20 or 30 can clear the core in a few seconds.

One time in war I had to attack a th6 base (i am th8) so we coukd get the last stars to win. It had a drag in cc, but I took it to corner and killed it with a drag, and proceeded to destroy his base with hogs. But then when I found out my drag lost it was too late, and I got 0 stars, and something around 30%. We lost the war by 1 star.

Back when I was still active with my th9 we were in a war and down by one star. I was one of the last 5 people to attack and I failed to get a star on a th7.

I've done this. You see a base with really good loot, then you totally drop the ball getting said loot. Didn't want to sink into the earth, but I did feel dumb.
