barch works just fine. head to c3 where you'll get a league bonus that will cover your army so you don't have to even look at the gold or elixir. start hitting any th7 base holding 750+ or th8 holding 1000+ with its de storage no more than 2 walls deep. take any snipes to stay in between 1900-2100 cups and get the de league bonus. also look for any th9s and th10s with full exposed drills. you'll probably lose the raid but the 1800+ de just from the drills is worth it.

that's how I maxed my bk10 and th8lab first time through before the update that gave th8 another drill and gave th7 a drill. doing the same thing again on my mini account and it is so much easier this time around.

For me I use arch and my barb king and look for easily accessible de. A few archers in the front and barb king distracts closest mortar and use archers as needed.

I use mass pekka in the mornings if I can be bothered to train it the night before. They can destroy any th7 and most th8s.

So you need to be picky on what base your aid and only go for how much is worth it to you.

You could push to crystal and stay until you get your de also.

    3 options...

    mass drags
    loonion (my favorite)
    Giant/wizard based

You aren't supposed to be able to get de with barch from the dr storage... the above strategies work ok th8. U won't have to hit only th7s. U can hit those th8s saving up for big stuff. Easily getting over 1k de each attack.

Plz do not listen to this guy... mass pekka fr?

With the comps I just posted you don't have to next for hours to find a base with exposed de.. you can take it from the storage.

    5 tips

    1. Use GiBarch or GiBAM
    2. Stick with one strategy. Dont keep changing strategies. You use 1 strategy and get better at it. ( most important )
    3. Search and search and search till you find simple base with good DE
    4. Rage is better than heal
    5. You will fail some raid. Dont give up its happens.

    I don't get it.

I just maxed TH8 a few weeks ago. For most of TH8, I was swimming in DE. Got most of my dark troops upgraded. Took my burger king to 10. And, towards the end, I was donating Golems to people for raids.

I mostly just barched during a 2 hour boosted raiding session about once a night while watching TV.

Rolling into TH9 is when it started to suck. I got spoiled not having much of anything to spend my elixer or DE on.

All so i use a mix for my raids thisbis the troop mix i use

    12 giants
    3 healers
    5 wall breakers
    22 wizards
    Barb king
    1 poison spell
    4 earthquake

If you picknthe right bases you all ways double what you spend on the de spells

That #4 - rage is better then heal. The more i use barch especially I don't see the big deal with heal. With gibarch there are situations where my giants get in a huge pack and are taking heat from lots of splash, so i still pack a heal with me. But there are a ton of people who suggest using heal with barch(with or without rage as well). Maybe i'm missing something, but when i use rage, my barch army just goes bananas and takes out a swath of the base. In fact it really seems like rage works the best with smaller troops, i think it's because with larger ones like pekka's, bk, drags, they waste a lot of damage overkilling buildings. Anyway, with heal, IF i get my barb's properly tanking for the archers(i.e. they don't get 1 shotted by a mortar anyway) and IF the barbs aren't taking too much heat where the heal doesn't do much, then my troops maybe last a few more seconds.

Sorry to get a bit off topic on the thread, just never have seen the value in heal spell on barch raids

Supercell has seized the opportunity to zap storages and here, we see the after-effect. The poor souls grew up knowing nothing else, and now the zappers have to learn and change their ways. Welcome to DE farming, where raiding DE requires strategy and thought, not just 3 lightning spells stacked up on top of each other on a Dark Elixir Storage

Seems like finding a plethora of DE isn't so easy anymore, is it?
