Does CW stay easy or does it get more difficult when you progress?

Our clan is not a super clan. We have members ranging from absolute beginner til mid TH9. We started CW a few months a go and are now almost lvl5. What we saw however is that most wars can be easily won. Some clans don't even bother to put up a fight. Often not all CC are filled and sometimes the opponent does not even go beyond 20 stars (We usually play CW with 20 members.) In the last 20 clanwars we were beaten only once and two times we had a draw.

So my question is if this is normal in the beginning and will it change when you progress or will it stay this way?

your in a lucky clan then. we have th6-1 th 10 in our clan and always get over matched. we are now a level 6 clan with 23 wins and a ton of loses. we just cant seem to catch a break when it comes to war

Totally normal. For us, we used to have a 10-1 ratio upto the point when we started hitting TH9.
So yeah, enjoy it while you're there

Yes it does. Up to late th8-th9, there are a lot of casual and I'll-informed players that don't seem to take war very seriously.

That can continue through th9, but once you get a lot of well developed th9s and 10s in clan, you'll rarely come up against any mugs.

It's easy to level a noob clan. That will change when you are all TH9/10.

Let me stress that this has nothing to do with a super skilled clan. I just checked and in the last 15 clanwars we had 8 times an opponent that scored less then 30 stars of the available 60 stars. That is simply not putting up a fight.

Low level clan wars are a complete joke. I had a TH7 account in a clan for their first wars awhile back, where people were something like TH5-T8 for the entire clan, mostly TH6-7...it was such a complete joke it wasn't even funny. Empty enemy WCC, enemy using maybe 10 out of their 50 attacks, "war bases" that were clearly duplicates of their corner-TH farming base because they never made a war base...all but one or two of the attackers using barch raid armies trying for 50% 1*...I hesitate to even consider those wars as "won" it was so ridiculous.

That is never the case with higher level TH wars, IME.

Lower down a lot of people trawl global looking for players for wars then declare while they hardly know them.. Leads to lots of clan wars where hardly anybody attacks. Enjoy it...it wont last

What I read here is that this is normal for lower clans so I guess that it will stay that way for a while. We do have some beginning TH9 and a few TH8 and TH7 but we also have a lot of complete beginners that are TH5 or lower. We do try to go max out on every CW but it becomes a little frustrating when the enemy only uses a few attacks. Sometimes it is indeed a fair fight but often there is not even a fight.

It doesn't necessarily get harder, but the game does change the higher you go, and those who dont recognize that and adapt will find wars much more difficult.

Clans that dont, as a team, work to learn new strategies at higher townhall levels will struggle. At TH7, mass dragon and dragoon is, for the most part, the standard. Get to TH8, and it gets more difficult, and if still using it at TH9 you should just expect disaster most days. Never straying from gowipe will win you many wars, but go against a clan that practices 3* strategies and your odds of winning get slim.

The point is, dont expect to do the same thing throughout the life of your clash experience. There are large learning curves at TH9 and TH10. Those that dont adapt and actively seek out and practice new strategies do find wars more difficult.

The good news is trying new things keeps it fun, and that's the reason we all play this game in the first place.
