That isn't my experience.
It comes up with the message "Connection lost. Retry?"
I know sometimes that message doesn't come up until a few sweconds after teh connection has really gone, because sometimes I find I still have troops I thought I had dropped, but it is usually only a few seconds.
Again, once you see that message, it usually only takes about 10 seconds to get back in.If you lose connection for more time you most probably won't be able to get there in time
It will certainly mess up your attack, particularly if it is one which would have been tight for time, but it might just make the difference between losing and getting 1 star, or between getting 1 or 2 stars.
Well it happened to me an amount of times to see the orange wifi symbol on screen then going away after like 3/4 second and I am still playing
Then depends what kind of disconnections we're talking about
Usually if my connection drops it won't get up again before like 5 minutes
I have an issue at my home that when the home phone rings my internet drops, this really wouldn't fix itself fast enough to get back and finish my attack
Back in the day, if you got disconnected during a raid, you could quit the app, and then get back on to finish your attack.
I don't know why they took that away.
I took it to mean that the OP wanted the attack to pause until he reconnects. He didn't say anything about the clock at all, so it's open to interpretation what exactly he's asking for. If he wants the clock to continue running while his troops get destroyed and his spells time out, and he has even less time to finish his attack, I have no problem with that. I'm not exactly sure how that's going to help anyone or why it makes so much sense to you, but hey - good luck with that.

Yes, it does depend a lot on the type of disconnect, agreed.
With me, it tends to be just a quick glitch for some reason. I suspect sometimes it happens just because the connection is slow (about 3Mb/s) and other processes are using it (e.g. a download on the computer is running). And my wireles router isn't the most reliable bit of kit in the world either.
I would agree taht if the actual connection to the internet dies, it will usually take much to long before you are back online. But for me with my particular conenction issues, I am usually back in within 15 seconds or so of seeing the diconnected message. Not always, but often enough that such a change would be useful.
