Are Xbows worth it????

Hey guys i m KP Lvl 91 Th8 base maxed except walls. (abt 60 lvl 8 walls only). Wil be th9 in 7 days. My question is should i go for the x bow once i reach th9 or should i jus create and upgrade other defences like AD, wiz & archer towers? Cos i see that xbows cost a lot and take long time to upgrade and seriously i dont think lvl 1 xbows inflict so much damage ( i ve taken out th9s and notice that xbows dont damage my drags/giants/pekkas under heal spells) So what should i do guys

they weigh heavily in wars so if you war a lot the common consensus is to wait. however, if you farm more often than you war: you should seriously be thinking of getting them. Once they are locked on a hero the hero is sort of dead, which will save you your resources.

Also: when they are lv 3 they inflict some serious damage on heroes and other high hp units.

X-bows are mostly scary, but they also have high hp and that is their main force, that is why they usally are in the middle.
If you war a lot you should go for th8.5, that is you should start by focusing on your troops and army camps. If war is not a big thing for you or your clan you should go ahead with the opgrades, make your x-bows lvl 3 asap, this will prevent that some will attack you.

I am not very sure about the half town hall idea so you should look up inspiration elsewhere, personally I never did it I went for the full pack, now I am a th10 with maxed xbows and infernals, I rarely get attacked.

I think the greatest asset of the xbow is the scare factor to th8 and early th9 raiders. As others have stated go for other things first if you primarily war.

X-Bows are glorified archer towers- their only difference is its longer radius. Set to air they're basically the same except ATs don't require elixir to be refilled.

A lvl8 AT has 6 more DPS than a lvl1 xbow.
A lvl9 AT has 5 more DPs than a lvl2 xbow.
Only at lvl3 xbows make a significant difference with 10 more DPS than a lvl10 AT.
However a lvl11 AT as the same DPS as a lvl3 xbow.

Every new defense is worth it. The more you have the better you can protect your ressources. No defensive building has more hitpoints than xbows...

Xbows don't overkill as much as other defenses they kill low hp units faster and move on to the next

You're not factoring in their HP and their rate of of fire.

Since they shoot so many shots in a second there is alot less wasted dps.
