Valks or golems?

Golems.

Valks are fun, but pretty much all attacks require golems, which is not true of valks.

This. If you're doing a valk attack in war, you'll probably lead with golems. Golems are great tanks and go well with multiple attacks at th9. Definetly recommend getting the valks up after golems tho.

Im a th9 looking to implement Valks and golems in my hog attacks. My golems and valls are both lvl 1. The Golems will be used for the cc and archer kill squad. Then valks to complement the hogs. Maybe 10-15 valks in my army composition. My question is will my golem being lvl 1 be suffecient enough to kill archer queen and cc troops. I need to upgrade both but will doing valks upgrade to lvl4 first be a wise choice?

If you plan on using that many valks then I would say go valks first.

Golem kill squad you generally only need 1-2 and you can always request a max one in CC which means you will only need to make one.

The benefit of doing valks first assuming you field between 10-15 will give you an increase of 360 - 540 DPS and 3000 - 4500 HP

The benefit going golems assuming you request one in CC and you only need the one you made extra the increase is 1500 HP(+600 for golemites), we all know you don't use golems for DPS but for the sake of completeness you get an extra 12 DPS (+9 DPS from golemites)
