Spamming LVL 4 Dragon Raids - Against TH8/9? 🐲

So I was wondering, with dragons level 3 you could total a TH7 base with ease...

But with Lvl 4 dragons now available at TH9, how effective does this now make the 'dragon spamming' 'strategy' against higher THs?

Has anyone tried it?

I assume it will be largely to do with placement as higher TH bases are more complex to break down, but can spamming a TH8 or even 9 with lvl 4 dragons be an effective war strat? Especial combined with spells...

Lol even level 1 dragons can wreck TH7s actually

Not sure about level 4 on TH9s but I've seen on youtube 11 level 5 dragons getting used in Titan by TH10s (rest of troops were backup/cleanup) and get 2 stars against max TH10s soooo.....

Not much of a dragon user, but from the stats alone it is not that significant a boost. You'll probably have a bit more room for error, and having 4 spells help a fair amount, but ...
The more important question is, why would you use mass dragons against a th 8, especially if you're a th 9? My 14 giant/1 healer/12 wiz + some barch and wb 3 stars pretty much every th 8 I come across in matchmaking with 2 or less spells used, so if you replaced the barch portion of that army and threw in more giants or wiz or hogs and used all 4 spells, you should have absolutely no trouble 3 starring. Or if you really hate that th 8, you could lavaloon it (lol)
Hogging is also extremely effective, even with just lv 4 hogs and your 4th spell but it costs a fair amount of de. Makes sense because it's the strongest th 8 attack already.

Seriously, the power imbalance of lv 6 giants, lv 6 loons and lv 5 hogs + 4 spells is so strong against th 8, you don't need something as subpar as dragons. There's a reason no one really uses dragons at th 9+.

th8s can spam lvl 3 dragons on th8s and win. lvl4 v th9 probably not with upgraded ads and what not.

You can't spam level 3 drags on a th8 and get 3 stars. Maybe with low ad but leveled up ad, added hp and archer tower increase has made drags a bit more of a gamble.

Obviously a few people here haven't been totalled by dragons in a war back when they were lower lvl THs...

Okay, so 'spamming' dragons may not be effective, but a couple of well-placed swarms can take apart a reasonable TH8 base at level 3.

I don't believe there is NO merit to trying Lvl 4 drags against a weak to mid TH9...

Someone must have tried it in their hour of boredom?!

someone used lvl4 drags in war against on of our lower mid th9s, they hit 1 star but not sure of the %. Having said that, it was an unskilled attack where they were all just dropped together

We just went to war with a clan and they were all dragon spammers

From there th7-th10 they only used dragons!

So we all thought easy win when there highest lvl 132 player with 30 heros was just dragon spamming

BUT they had obviously alot of practice and we ended up drawing!
( ended with out number 1 getting 1 star 48% )

Was gutting really as you feel with dragons there isnt as much skill!

But with practice all is possible!

dragons 3 staring TH8 is quite often.

TH9 getting 2 stars is the max. Might as well switch to Lavaloon or GoWi methods or hybrid attacks.

TH10 you'll be lucky getting 1-2 stars using mass dragons L5.

A nearly maxed th9 in my clan got 3 starred in a war by a th10 with max dragons the other day. I was quite shocked, I didnt expect it, watching it was like watching a th7 match again.
