    Love it when I use it...

    but when I watch a live defence and watch all my wizards die from a single poison spell, I cry a little inside.

    Honestly, it's a great spell and everyone gets to use it, so it isn't OP in the slightest. Plus, it does take a while to destroy troops like wizards at lower levels. It also means I don't have to bother with the kill squad for the CC, which is a great advantage when using hogs

    Terrible introduction to the game. They introduced this, which killed off the skilled aspect of timely/effectively killing cc troops before base raiding, and simultaneously increased overall building health.

    Our record before this update was 100-24-1. Since? 8-5-1. Did we suddenly become bad warrers? Absolutely not. What happened is we lost our ability to overcome very bad mismatches, which happen quite frequently against us. We're at the mercy of the matchmaking, and it has simply made it less fun. I'm sure plenty of clans who used to lose a lot enjoy it, b/c now they don't have to do the strategic part of draw/lure/killing the cc troops to get their 3 or stick to their lazy 2-star attack. But with the combination of this spell and the fact that the overall base has more HP, when we get bad matchups it's even worse as they have even higher HP on their bases than ours.

    We fall just short of 3-starring bases now b/c of strongers buildings (which absolutely weren't needed) and they are able to use 3-starring armies and not have to worry about the risk of getting 1-0 stars from their attacks on our mismatched bases, b/c our cc provides zero threat to them (we've been forced to do the dragon/balloon/valk combos now, just like everyone else does. Dragons are absolutely terrible cc troops, but what are our alternatives? Anything that requires a good cc draw die from even a lvl 1 poison spell, and those also happen to have the best DPS-to-troop space ratio. You can essentially ignore cc's now and let your cleanup take it out, and if you do choose to draw the cc, you only need 1 second in the range vs the 4-5 that you needed to invest more troops in pulling before.

    It's a bad update. There's no alternative argument to it. If they really wanted this, then they should have HEAVILY revamped their matchmaking system to avoid bad mismatches. At least then when they decide to remove a solid skill aspect of the game, they are keeping warring clans on an even playing ground when they face each other.

    Figured I'd just do a quick quoting showing why it sucks from the strategic aspect of the game. Of course the majority of players (who can't be bothered to put strategy into their attacks--which is what you need to do when using a risky 3-starring army--love it, as they don't have to do the skillful things necessary to accomplish it now). When they get the fortunate luck of getting the good end of a severe mismatch in war, there's their win.

    It's like putting bumpers in the bowling alley lanes. What segment of people benefit from/love them the most? Exactly, children who haven't developed skill (yet).

    whats not to like. People should stop complaining, its not op cause about 95% of clans put high hp troops in the cc, so its basically useless against those, in war they r only good for taking out the skellie traps...

    and I quoted many from just the past 2 pages. They are terrible arguments and don't offer up anything other than "I like it, easier to attack now" without seeing how it just cheapens the skill.

    Fine, I'll reword my statement.

    "This update undeniably cheapens the skill aspect of the game, from a clan war perspective. It unfairly rewards those who are fortunate enough to incur favorable mismatches, and coupling this spell with the increased building HP only reinforces the unfairness in mismatches."

    THAT ^ is something that there is no alternative argument against. Whether people prefer that is up to them, but that's the straight facts of it.
