Troop combo in wars early th9

Just wondering what peoples main type of attack is in wars when you were or as a early th9!

Our clan are very go(wi)wipe

I know people say its a 2 star but we win alot of wars, we only have about 5 th10s, 10-12 th9s, 20ish th8s and a couple of th7s

Im having good luck as a early th9 with gowipe, last war got 6 stars, this war 5 stars

BUT

I can see how it gets harder, i can see higher th9s having to drop a bit or get a 2 star and th10s finishing the max th9s for the 3rd,

I want to always be aiming for the 3 stars!

I got ballons to lvl6 and unlocked houds to try, so far i suck really bad, i havent taken it to war but iv only 100% 1 base which was only a max th8! and with th9s im lucky to get 2 stars!

Iv watched videos but i still suck at the moment!

In my old clan someone used to do mass hogs and he used to always get 3 stars, it was about 6 months ago tho so is it harder now?

Iv looked at ideas on youtube but there not many for a new th9

Anyone have any good advice on what they use so i can try?

You can't really 3 star a good TH 9 as new TH 9.. If you're a new TH 9 then you should be matched up against new TH 9s as well which means, upgrade your dragons and go for brute force 4 rage, 11 lvl4 drags, 5 max loons attack.. New TH 9s in my clan have been successfully 2-3 starring there counter parts using this after the update..

Other useful attack can be simple ballonian (with max level loons).. If done right, it can 3 star a relatively new TH 9 with ease.

U can use the surgical hogs (strategy videos on youtube) or u can try golava if u get ur hound to lvl2

As a new TH9, you will struggle against other TH9 people. What I did as an early TH9 is help clean the top TH8's of the other clan (I used Drag Rider a lot). You can try GoHo if you have to take on a TH9, assuming you have lvl5 Hogs. If you don't have lvl5 hogs, stay away from GoHo

Read his message, he is a early TH9..so he won't have hounds or not even LVL6 loons

He said he has lvl6 loons and hound unlocked

If you are quite good with GoWiPe/GoWiWi and you want to expand without drastically changing too much, consider mixing some backend loons or hogs to your attacks, so you can start going GoHo/GoLo.

As you get more experienced with these you can adjust your hogs/loons ratio with your GoWiXx based on the base.

I just read early TH9, so I assumed he is just a week on TH9 or so. Having Lvl6 loons and hounds unlocked is not early TH9, unless he gemmed it

well im just over 3 weeks into th9 so i still consider it early

It's not that early then I just never bothered with Loons and lava hounds at early TH9, since I knew farming for resources will be more important. I get away with GoWiWi/GoWiPe/GoHo in war, never needed to lavaloonion a base.
