Walls war weight and worth the grind?

Anyone who says it is harder to get loot as a TH10 is giving out-dated information. Since the MM was changed to make it easier to find similar THs loot has been as good at TH10 as any preceding TH, maybe better. It's easy to farm TH9s with lvl7 troops and you can hold on to your loot better with infernos. It certainly used to be the case at gold/lix was easier at TH9 but that's simply not the case any more.

It is not outdated information. I farmed at TH9 for some time after the matchmaking update, and then upgraded to TH10. The loot is unquestionable harder to find. I recieved a loot shock when I upgraded. It may have improved, but loot at TH10 definitely involves a lot of nexting and moving up and down the leagues. From TH7 to TH9, I was in Gold 3-2 most of the time, and I never needed to move to find loot. As a TH10, I have moved everywhere from Silver right upto Champion.

But there are positives too. First, when you have your infernos up, your loot is pretty much guaranteed to be safe if you put your TH outside, even in Champion. Second, there is a ton of DE available at TH10. And smashing TH9 for 315k/315k/2250 is a lot of fun

But TH10 farming is no longer bad - I am doing fine. Our more hardcore farmers are upgrading to zaps at a steady rate. I do not regret upgrading to TH10 at all. I would say that lvl 15 heroes are a minimum, and lvl 20+ heroes would be preferred.

I upgraded townhall to 10 about 2 months ago.Before doing so I had maxed walls and had my heroes 20/20.Since you can spend all of your recources currently I reccomend doing heroes and walls until you finish 1 of the 2.Once doing so upgrade townhall.(Time it so that you'll finish one of them a few days before townhall finishes to fill your storages and get ready for the leap to th10.)Hope you take my advice and btw th10 farming isn't too bad if you like the game enough you'll adapt and continue your journey,goodluck.

This guy nailed it. Unless you're getting really bored of th9, you might as well hang around a while being as there are places to spend all 3 resources.

Soon as any resource ceases to have a use, or staying at 9 is going to impact on your fun, dump that 4m and prepare for the grind.

Th10 farming is fine now.

With regards the wall weight....it's always going to be worth it. Lavas DO weigh a lot, and you will find a lot of rushed to medium th10s amongst your war opponents.
Thing that people forget is, it takes a BIG or talented with 3* army th10 to 3* you.
Face roll gowipe 3* on th9s is reserved for 30+ heroes and 240 max troops. If they're that talented with go-hog, go-laloon and such to do it with weaker heroes, then so be it, they could've probably done it as a th9.

The weight of walls in regards to CW matchmaking is pretty much insignificant. In my clan's current war (battle day starting in 6h time), my clan's #1 has average th9 defenses with lvl7 walls whilst the opponent #1 has average th9 defenses and lvl8 walls.

Another good example would be my clan's #2. He has average th9 defenses but only lvl6 walls whereas his mirror has average th9 defenses and lvl8 wallls. Even opponent #1 and #2's heroes are slightly stronger. This leads me to the conclusion that walls contribute very little when it comes to assessing the weight of your base

You could probably make a weirder statement but I do not see how

Clans are matched based on total weight on each clan.

Individual clan members are ordered according to individual weight.

You cannot compare number 1 in clan A to number 1 in clan B and conclude anything about wall weight.

You can however compare clan A's or B's individual member ordering and maybe deduct something about wall's weight.

That's true in a way. My mini account recently upgraded to TH10, and has lvl 20 heroes. I was already able to 3* maxed TH9 using golaloon in lots of cases, but being a TH10 with now 240 slots, an additional spell, and even freeze spells (very useful when sweeper and xbows are close to each other) I can now 3* almost any TH9, even max walls, and rarely fail to, while as a TH9 this was still a bit more touchy...

Exactly. I thought the point of the game was to upgrade everything eventually right?

I decided at max th9 for defences that I was happy with Lego walls. I moved to the 10. Yes the loot is a issue to start with but now I've got level 7 gibarch and max camps the farming is pretty decent.
it's easier to loot de as a th 10 because you can smash th9's easily who carry more de then th8's.
I think what you need to consider is if you want max walls, you can easily do heros as a th10
