I upgraded townhall to 10 about 2 months ago. Before doing so I had maxed walls and had my heroes 20/20.Since you can spend all of your recources currently I reccomend doing heroes and walls until you finish 1 of the 2.Once doing so upgrade townhall.(Time it so that you'll finish one of them a few days before townhall finishes to fill your storages and get ready for the leap to th10.)Hope you take my advice and btw th10 farming isn't too bad if you like the game enough you'll adapt and continue your journey, goodluck.
I wouldn't worry too much on TH 10 farming. It's really not that bad. You are going to laugh how easy it is to farm with level 7 barchs or Giants. Especially if you have any of your heros up.
Personally I would finish the lavas and get your heros as high you can go. I went to TH 10 with full lavas and 25 AQ/20 BK.

I don't think anyone here is saying loot at TH10 is bad, in fact I don't think anyone is saying that.
But the fact is, Lavas are easier to do at TH9 than Th10. This is truth. As a TH10 you are stuck raiding primarily 9s and 10's, while at TH9 you have a much more available pool of players to hit as well as all those juicy TH8's.
You also have to factor in troop cost. In actuality, I wouldn't even recommend lvl 7 barch. It costs more, and you aren't gaining that much really over a lvl 6 barch in terms of raid potential.
I don't understand what the big rush is either to get to TH10. TH9 is probably the most fun TH in the entire game. Might as well take your time and enjoy it.
TH10 isn't so great with 2 star pony wars and an endgame hunting in the clouds for hours on end for 1-2 cup offers.
On the other side note, yes, walls have pretty significant weight in war.

Walls weigh too much atm...
Well, speaking from experience I maxed my TH9 (all lavas with 23/23 heroes) and then moved on up to TH10.
a HUGE mistake because now I am ALWAYS up against a TH10 (semi rushed) with max infernos. I can still 2 star thanks to my heroes but it is a problem because they now have 2 TH10 attacks.
I'm taking the TH9.5 approach so can you imagine the match ups when I actually build my infernos? It's gonna be insane.
I guess the war size also has an influence. I usually take part in 10v10 or 15v15 where the weight of an individual is slightly more. If you are in a 50v50 war clan then one person is not going to make a difference.
This new matchmaking is really interesting. One that if I knew was going to happen ,would have upgraded when I had all lego.

The weight of walls in regards to CW matchmaking is pretty much insignificant. In my clan's current war (battle day starting in 6h time), my clan's #1 has average th9 defenses with lvl7 walls whilst the opponent #1 has average th9 defenses and lvl8 walls.
Another good example would be my clan's #2. He has average th9 defenses but only lvl6 walls whereas his mirror has average th9 defenses and lvl8 wallls. Even opponent #1 and #2's heroes are slightly stronger. This leads me to the conclusion that walls contribute very little when it comes to assessing the weight of your base
This guy is - ...and you did -There are in fact lots of juicy TH9s to farm from and they hold more loot than TH8s. You can also keep hold of it easier now. Before the recent MM changes you used to have to next past loads of low level THs to find anyone worth attacking. This is simply not the case now. TH10 loot is easily as good as TH9 loot so lavas are not harder any more at TH10.
Why would you not upgrade your troops? You get the same increase you did getting them from lvl5 to lvl6, did you keep yours at lvl5?
I am taking a guess that you are a TH9 still so have no experience of TH10 gameplay. I have been a TH9 and a TH10 and I can tell you that TH10 is just as much fun. Yes 3 star attacks are harder to achieve but when 2 starring a good TH10 is as challenging as 3 starring a TH9 what's the difference?
I would have to say I agree with this as well. I have a mate that is an identical TH9 to myself- we are equal on everything from troops to buildings, with two exceptions. he has 30/30 heroes and all lego walls. I have 20/20 heroes and all but 50 of my walls are lvl10. My base weight is 73. He has been out of wars for a while, but last time he was in, his weight was 70. Really took us by surprise.

Are you a TH10 ? Have you experience that ?
Yes, most people will be happy with a 2* on a good TH10, but once you max your TH10, you will be aiming at 3*. Maybe not in multiplayer mode as you cannot tailor your army to the base you attack, but certainly in CW. I consider 2* as a minimum even on a max TH10, 3* is where you really show your skills. A TH9 golaloon is a piece of cake compared to a TH10 golaloon !
Regarding clouds, don't see the link... Being a TH10 doesn't force you to rush to Titan. I've been farming in Champs since I upgraded my TH and doing well. There are TH8 in Titans looking at clouds !
