Time for change: Troll reporting has gone too far!

    Clashmates,

Let me start off by saying that I have never reported anyone. I'm 25, married, work a full time job, and clashing is a nice downtime way of letting go. There are no rules in my clan as far as donations or watching what you say. It's a fun zone for adults and older teens alike ranging from ages 15-45. I am, by no means saying that the reporting and suspension of players in the CoC community are unjust. However, I feel the majority of reporting against minor offenses, in my opinion, are by the hands of 12 and under illegal clashers.

So in my hypocritical, yet very serious nature, I present of movement to report ALL clashers who admit to being age 12 or under. It is a direct violation of Supercells terms and agreements.

2 major benefits will come from this.

    1) I believe nonsense reporting will drastically decline.

    2) There will be thousands of bases that will go abandoned and will fill with mass amounts of loot in the collectors.

I implore you to think over my proposal. If someone says they're 12 or under and are lying, well that's their fault.

Thank you all for your time.

    Best regards,
    -Capt.

It does seem like people see 13+ as a guideline instead of part of the ToS. It also says 13-17 must have their parent or guardian read over the ToS.

SC will not do anything with the under-13s even if you can prove it 100% beyond doubt. SC doesn't really care about that. The rule is just there for legal liability reasons.

So take a persons fun away because you deem them immature? Yes you need to be 13 but many families play with their children and many people don't care about age requirements.

the age thing is probably more of a recommendation than a steadfast rule. Even if someone admits in a chat that they're 10 it doesn't matter. That alone doesn't prove anything. Unless SC is going to send out age police and check IDs I don't think there's anything to be done. It's really not much of a rule if you can't reasonably enforce it.

There was a 7 year old on global, probably half of clashers are under the age limit, and supercell wouldnt ban them because that's half of their player base.
really I don't even know why they put the age limit in the TOS because they know people won't listen, I always see like 10 year olds and under on global all the time.

I'm well aware of everyone's points already. My coworker/Clashmate and I have discussed a bunch of these already. Just a random post on my lunchbreak. Guard yourselves from the reporting trolls. They're everywhere.

Supercell most likely don't have a problem with underaged people playing. Its just to avoid legal concerns. You think an 18+ film producer will sue a 16 year old for buying their products?
