Need an alternative to global cesspool

I have gotten good members off 9f global you just have to understand you will get 10-20 crummy ones for each good one. Ways to mitigate the negative impact on your clan is obviously not to give out free ranks, have new members not able to war right away and be honest when recruiting.

Dont take it personally when people "hop" if you let it bother you, it will ruin the experience and dont be afraid to kick someone quickly if you know they aren't a good fit. If you find yourself in a particularly bad global, restart the game and you will get a new one. Its rare but occasionally you will find one that isnt full of kids.

The current global chat system is a huge missed opportunity to expand the social aspects of CoC. There is no way to filter out the "noise" other than muting 95% of the people you find there. The 5% of us who aren't brand new players, looking for love, racially insensitive, pre♥♥♥♥scent kids who just discovered swearing, or constantly begging people to join/looking for a clan would just like to have a conversation with someone other than our clan mates from time to time.

while the number of facepalms far exceeds the interesting conversations I've had, it's enough to keep me coming back and fishing for intelligent life. It saddens me to see all the forumers who say they never poke around global because I will never get the chance to happen by them and have a chat.

Maybe if they had a separate place for recruiting in game, then there would be a lot less people asking in global chat.

Dutch is horrible too.
If only they grouped us by level, its always the new players who screw up global chat!

Ikr... I'm most of the time in English Chat because Dutch chat is just horrible... You just see so much swearing, and the filter almost filters nothing. People swear with diseases all the time, they say how other people suck, they say they should die... This happens all the time in Dutch chat. Luckily, English chat is better

Yes, most of our players have come off global. However I have not kept count of those who have joined and then left the next morning!

Also, I agree that the chats can sometimes range and often I have found myself in one without kids, and with only about three people talking in it.

Is your clan closed? My clan is closed but occasionally we open the flood gates and let people in. 95% of them leave or end up getting kicked but we do get good players this way.

I am an adult, and I just can't stomach the gay bashing, racism, girlfriend hunting, and ♥♥♥♥scent rants that permeate the global chats. I've tried recruiting for mid level active mature players there, but it's rarely sucessful. I've tried norsk, but that was filled with super players and clans. I wonder if there is a way to find a chat that would fit my level. I lead a clan of 15 adults, and finding replacements in global is a drag. I have posted on forum, but again, people want our clan to merge with theirs. It would also be good to chat with like minded people in general in a more immediate environment than in forum. Any suggestions? Thanks.

There are lots of people in regular global who are looking for a clan like yours, just ignore the annoying people on global and pay attention to the other people.
