Need an alternative to global cesspool

I am an adult, and I just can't stomach the gay bashing, racism, girlfriend hunting, and ♥♥♥♥scent rants that permeate the global chats. I've tried recruiting for mid level active mature players there, but it's rarely sucessful. I've tried norsk, but that was filled with super players and clans. I wonder if there is a way to find a chat that would fit my level. I lead a clan of 15 adults, and finding replacements in global is a drag. I have posted on forum, but again, people want our clan to merge with theirs. It would also be good to chat with like minded people in general in a more immediate environment than in forum. Any suggestions? Thanks.

There isn't a way around the horrible global chat. Only way would be to encourage others to get into your clan or as you said merge to be able to have a better chat. However, if you do speak another language, I advise you to never use any of the global chats that are in English because apparently this is the only chat that acts immature (yes, there are a few in the others but it is way less).

Other than this, there are no other options to have a mature chat within the CoC game.

Not much else besides clan chat. If the resources you listed for recruiting don't work in a timely fashion, you could build a website for your clan and put some "invisible" keywords in the header so, when searched in google, it's one of the first hits.

If only they grouped us by level, its always the new players who screw up global chat!

The current global chat system is a huge missed opportunity to expand the social aspects of CoC. There is no way to filter out the "noise" other than muting 95% of the people you find there. The 5% of us who aren't brand new players, looking for love, racially insensitive, pre♥♥♥♥scent kids who just discovered swearing, or constantly begging people to join/looking for a clan would just like to have a conversation with someone other than our clan mates from time to time.

while the number of facepalms far exceeds the interesting conversations I've had, it's enough to keep me coming back and fishing for intelligent life. It saddens me to see all the forumers who say they never poke around global because I will never get the chance to happen by them and have a chat.

They should do away with general chat rooms and instead create chat rooms. That way there is a place for everyone based off their interests in the game.

I think then the only problem would be that you start to take away the game part and people would play just to go in chat rooms.
