3 Level 4 Lightning vs Level 6 AD

BTW I am quite irritated at myself right now for failing an attack..Not killing that level 6 AD was only one mistakes...another is not deploying my hogs on the right spot so they did not went straight to the AD.

Anyways can a level 6 ad be killed with 3 level 4 zaps, given that all zaps went right on center? me and one of my clan mate tried to zap one with level 4 lightning but had like 1 HP left. Can't it be killed anymore post update or it was like this before? I remember destroying one with only level 4 zaps...

A level 6 AD has 1050 hitpoints, while a level 4 lightning spell deals 390 damage. 3 lightning deals 1170 damage. So it should be possible.

Edit: I see now on wiki that it deals65 damage pr strike, so the overall damage might scatter a little bit.

Just saw a recent replay of my other clanmate she was able to destroy the level 6 AD with level 4 zaps. So is it now not 100% like only 70% of the time that the level 6 AD will get destroyed? I don't know but hopefully it was just our mistake in deployment (though I really saw the lightning dropped on the AD) cause if it will only work 70% of the time then around 3 of the war strats (dragon snipe light, 813 dragoon, 11 light) will be unusable against level 6 ads that is until I upgrade my lightning

It should be possible to destroy them, it might have bee your deployment which was off.
Rememeber , the AD takes a 3x3 square...so your lighting spell must be dropped in the centre block of that 3x3 square.
Look at the AD in a 3D way, and drop it on that square...I have seen people dropping it on the "centre" of the AD while looking at it with a 2D perspective. Then in reality it actually lands on the top middle square of the 3x3 grid.

When you zap an AD, make sure to zoom in prior to selecting lightning and tap the base (not the tip of the AD) this is very important, also if your not having luck doing this a safe measure would be to bring and earthquake spell to take out a little bit of hp so this doesnt happen to you since missing the AD is an automatic failure and using poison vs what most likely will be a dragon in the cc is not going to change much. Why are you zapping level 6 ADs anyway? I rarely see that

Assuming you are a TH8 you should consider getting level 5 zaps, that will make things easier I guess

Quite possible OP could be a 7 going after an 8. I do that all the time with my baby 7.
