TH 9 - Are legos sufficient enough?

Yes. I went to th 10 with all legos and few lavas and I'm doing just fine. My friends went to th 10 with skull walls and they're doing just fine too. But at the end of the day it's up to you. I personally think your heroes level are more important than the walls when you want to upgrade to th 10 later.

I went with about 70 or so skulls remaining when I went to th10.

in my opinion level 9 walls are plenty for play at th10. If you are one of those odd type th9's that just have to get lava walls done, then go right ahead and enjoy. However, rather than listening to players who haven't played at th10, try listening to one that has, for over a year...

My strongest advice is this....forget walls. What level are your heros?? The best reason to stay a th9 is not walls, but heros. Heros make a HUGE impact on farming at th10, war at th10 and pushing trophies at th10. If you have little heros, wait and get them up. I went at 15/15 and wished I had waited for 25/25 or better.

Second, the whole "loot is better at th9, so do them now" is not only wrong it just doesn't make sense.

Going to th10 with all lavas is not the big advantage that people think. Th10's have so many ways of dealing with walls it's crazy. From powerful air raids, to earth quake, to jump, and even the level 6 wb (which is noticeably stronger than the level 5 btw). Th10 Raiders always bring tools to take out walls and crush you.

Second, many of the th10 base designs focus more on troop funnelling not "cell" construct. Jump and wb helped,mouth now with earthquake building tight boxes of high level walls in the core just isn't effective anymore.

One other thing I've found, walls make a great dumping ground. What do you think you do with gold once you have maxed everything?? I gave up farming gold ages ago and yet the damn stuff still fills my storages steady.

So to recap, you can ignore everything I said, except the thing about heros. Seriously, forget walls work on heros. While your heros are going you'll probably finish all your damn walls, but don't focus on the walls, focus on the heros!!!

Sorry I really can't say much about TH10 loot since I am a TH9 (Just working on my lavas myself) but isn't there a loot decrease at TH10, I have read a bunch of different threads/guides etc. and have heard this from a lot of places.
Then again like I said I am a TH9 so I don't have much experience with TH10. (I wasn't trying to call you out or anything or be that guy, am just curious now)

So I have recently upgraded to TH9 after fully maxing 8. I already have done 15 legos rest skulls. Just wondering would 250 Legos be sufficient for th 10 or do them at 9? Im starting early on them so shouldn't take to long.

Legos are strong enough for TH10, plenty of people don't even have them.
There are only a handful of elixir upgrades at TH10 so a few months in you can start working on Lavas anyway

It used to be this way, but ever since the matchmaking update TH10s no longer have to next through a sea of low-level town halls protected by loot penalties. TH10s can now easily find targets worth attacking in low leagues, while at the same time being the best-equipped town hall for farming league bonuses in higher leagues.

No worries! Badfish has it right. Th10's can find loot from bronze through Titan now. Th10's are also the most capable town hall at keeping there loot too! Though you will be farming th9's and th10's. Th10 troops and hero strength make hitting even stronger th9's very easy.

Skull walls are sufficient. Go get lavas won't make a difference. Most of our defenses as farmers should be snipes. Lot of people think th10 loot is terrible for some reason. Definitely not true. In fact if you war and you plan on going the 9.5 route, your lavas will hurt you.
