Why it should be possible to demote leaders..."Revolution" :-)

I am not so serious about proposing a "Revolution" button even that could be interresting (if pressed by 51%) of members within a 10 min timelap the leader will be demoted and replaced with the one first hitting the button, even it would be interresting. :-)

Instead I will propose something more moderate. I propose that if the leader has not been active (logged in and performed any task) within a month, he will get an ingame warning. If not active within two months he should be demoted and replaced by the member having highest rank and highest points, and the reasons are:

I started to play CoC more than a year ago. Only SC knows for how long. I soon after joined a clan that seemed friendly. After a while I started to wounder why there are no wars. I started to ask but nobody seemed to know. Fewer became active, people left but new joined. Six months ago a new member joined and we started to investigate together. I contacted SC support and got a few strange answers like:"Try to contact him on Facebook". How do you contact "Jesper98" on Facebook? Our Clan leader was maybe active when I joined but has not for sure been active last 10 months and we have a 50/50 guild where >50% now are sleepers including our leader.

We really need a way to demote or even kick leaders that go fishing permanently or else many Clans will become sleeping beauty's!

I doubt this would ever be implemented, but there's nothing stopping you from getting fellow members to start another clan.

Of course it's easy to just leave, but we are still
many active players I enjoy playing with. It seems stupid a clan should be doomed just since the leader lost interest or whatever happened to him/her. Maybe there could be assigned temporary leader until the original leader "wakes" and remains in freeze state if you think it's a constitutional right a leader must remain leader even if he/she neglect the duties to lead the guild. :-)

It’s the Leader’s clan. What gives you the right to even *think* you can take it away ? There are no constitutions or democracies in CoC.

Leave and make your own clan.

For once, what if the Leader gets banned for 2 or 3 months for several reasons? Yes he did wrong but he will get back and I'm sure he doesn't want to get back and find he was kicked from his own clan. Yes, if the Leader is inactive and would get demoted to Co-Leader, don't think the new Leader will just keep him there.

Second, let's say I am the Leader of a clan. I was there since its beginning, I struggled to get it up, find players, fight tough wars at the beginning with players quitting.. all to lead to a strong clan. Now since I am the one who built the clan and made it the home of who knows what players, why should I be kicked by a bunch of people who just came in an already developed clan? No.. I was there since its beginning, I fought for the clan, I have the right to sit there and be inactive if that's what I want to do.

This is my personal opinion regarding these suggestions, and yes, it was suggested before.

This is the exact reason I left my old clan. I was a co leader. Though after I left, I realized I should of promoted someone else to do leader. Now the clan's doomed as there were no co leaders left

I agree with devil's statement IF it would have been true in my case. In my case it more looks the leader created a clan, promoted NO co-leaders at all. Played a little while and stopped playing. He has not been active in a year. When I joined it was just ~40 people in the guild but most active. Now we are 50 in the guild but probably just about 10 active. In some months there will be ZERO active players and a sleepers guild. Noone can kick players not active or misbehaving.

IF a leader is doing his job leading, inviting, kicking, promoting, demoting and beeing a good leader I totally agree with devils statement, but a leader even if he was the one who created the guild a rainy day, totally gives a #%^#* in the clan, he should loose his right, since also his fellow clanmates have invested time, money, soul, spirit and helped inviting and fought for the guild. Do you count all effort from the 49 clan-members for nothing?

I am not after kicking leaders who do their job, but just after the ones who left without doing their duty to promote a new leader when they left. It's actually the duty of a good leader to make sure there is someone taking over!

Some leaders are just mean.i like the "revolution" i the leader is just mean and all your friend are in the clan i thing we should be able to demote him or her
