I'm a th9. Close to max. I have 40 skull walls left, all the rest spikes. BK is 15, AQ is 11. One more air sweeper upgrade, some dark spell upgrades and lava hounds to 2. Everything else is maxed. I have 2470 trophies and I have been farming crystal 1 for some time. I use 1 healer, 4 wall breakers, 8 giants and the rest is barch (no spells). I try to run every 45 minutes, because it takes that long for the heroes to reset. I have found the farming REALLY hard ever since that last upgrade a few months ago. I miss the days of sitting in silver 2 looking for fat th7s to plunder. Now I mostly see th10's. I rarely see th8s, though th10s find me just fine I've noticed.

My question is: Should I take my walls to lava before I go to th10? That's 750 million and that is a lot. The spike walls have taken a long time. It would give me time to get my King and Queen higher. I'm afraid the farming at th10 is going to be worse than 9. Your thoughts?

If you want the fastest income of Gold and Elixir, just Barch or BAM collectors in the Gold 2 - Gold 1 range. So instead of 1500-1750, 1600-1900 works really well. That being said, your current range is fine if you're finding good collector raids. Using a big army like full hogs and gowipe that takes forever won't let you get all the Gold and Elixir you could get with barch because you can't attack often. I've just been barching (boosted) and farming 20+ legos a day easily with the collector boosts.

If you want more DE, the go a little higher to Gold 1 - Crystal 3. Gold 1 if you don't have your queen, and Crystal 3 if you do have your queen. A good idea is to get the Crystal League badge at 2000 trophies, then drop and farm in the 1900s to get the best of both worlds (easier-to-crack bases in 1900s and the Crystal DE Loot Bonus).

To get to storages, however, GiBarch is great. It can be used for collectors (whereas you can't attack a collector base with GoWiPe), and it can penetrate deep into bases with centralized royals and high-level xbows if you are skilled enough. But to do this, Giants to Lv6 and barch to lv6 is a necessity. You giants just don't survive at lv5. Another good army for this is "Super-Queen". You use all minions and archers to take out ADs and ATs and anything else that affect air troops. You then put down your queen, and 3-4 healers on it and watch it take all of the resources.

My recommendation is collector raids. Got to go now, good luck!

Thanks for all the suggestions, I appreciate the time and thought put into the reply. I will certainly give them a shot when giants are done. One barracks boost a day is about all I can handle, lol. Not sure how you guys do it. Yeah, gowipe and such are just for war practice when I already have all the elix I can use and no builders, like now. :-)

I suggest Gold III through Crystal I. The exact one I would say is Gold II. Gold II has many loot opportunities if you barch, gibarch, or bam. I think barch and bam would be the most helpful in Gold II. I would suggest farming as an early town hall 8, but if you don't like farming, at least do 1 farming attack out of 3 attacks. If you think farming in Crystal is too hard, move down to Gold II or Gold I. I would upgrade your town hall about a month later. I do not believe you need to max walls, but you need to max most of them. So just do whatever you can in a month, then upgrade your town hall.

I tried moving down all the way to Silver 3. I was getting KILLED by th10s. My son in law did the same thing with the same results. It was worse than the Crystal League. Ever since they changed the match making the farming has been terrible and it doesn't seem to matter what league your in. They seem to always pit you against bases way out of your league or bases that don't have anything worth taking. At least in Crystal 1 the win bonus is enough to make up for it. I'm worried that when I get to th10 it's going to take so long to get up to speed with upgraded troops. Holding out for th8s to farm will be less effective with the penalty.

Im in Gold II right now, and I see no town hall 10's and very few town hall 9's.

STAY AT TH9. Get your heroes up to at least 20/20, preferably 30/30. Also, if possible finish your lavas. Gold 2 and Gold 1 and Crystal 3 is best for all three resources. The lower you go in that range, more G/E you get, sacrificing DE. So higher (ie. Crystal 3 or high Gold 1) will give more DE, sacrificing some G/E.

Also with the same data can you determine how long will it take me to farm all my lavas after my Legos are finished.

If you farm 2 hours a day and get 1 million an hour, I'm pretty sure it would take you 125 days. As extra information that you might not need, I suggest farming in gold III through crystal III. The extract league I would say is gold II. in gold II, you can easily get 1 million in an hour. As for the lava question, I am not sure......only one way to find out!
