Do you think Gold 1 is best for a near maxed TH8? Trying to farm the last bit of walls.

Gold I and gold II are both great places for a town hall 8.

After the increase to barch, are you having a harder time farming elixir and de at the same time? I'm having to use elixir troops to farm de and a more de heavy army to farm elixir successfully.

No, it shouldn't be any harder, except for the obvious fact that your army now costs a bit more than it did. Just continue using barch and it shouldn't be a problem. Keep doing quick raids with little time between each raid, and you should be able to farm both E and DE effectively at the same time.

Okay, school season starts soon so alot of people wont be able to boost for 4 hours straight

How would you reccomend Dark elixir farming? (DE would be a priority, while defenses are not much)

Right now i see 3 options:
master 3 loonian
master 3 barch
master 3 th snipe

what would you reccomend? or what else that i have not mentioned

Oh btw, i am a th9, about 1/4 way there with 20 skulls 180 legos and 25 lavas

All three methods you've listed are valid DE farming strategies. But I have recently been informed that Gold/Crystal is the best. If you do have your queen available for use, farm in Gold 1 to Crystal 3. However, if you do not have your queen to use, go a little lower, to the Gold 2 to Gold 1 range.

As for army, barch and BAM are best because you want to be able to raid as many times as possible. If you want to pack a more powerful punch, go ahead and add a couple giants and wallbreakers to your army, but keep in mind it'll slow down your army training.

Make sure you're raiding at the right time too. Generally, these are the best times:

3:00 PM - 5:00 PM EST (GMT -5:00)
8:00 PM - 11:00 PM EST (GMT -5:00)
3:00 AM - 5:00 AM (GMT -5:00) *BEST*

Avoid farming from 7AM - 1PM EST. It is not a very good time at all for collector raids, but you'll probably be at school during the morning anyway, so hopefully that won't be a problem.
