BAM is a very good army camp for TH9, so stick with that. I have about 120 legos and rest skulls. I'm farming a really good quantity of G/E and upgrading 10-20 skulls to lego a day. So I think your problem is simply trophy count. Gold 1 and Gold 2 are good according to most TH9s lately. I've raided 30M gold in the last 2-3 days in mid-gold. I start at 1800 trophies, then keep raiding until I slowly go down to around 1500 trophies, then snipe back to 1800, rinse and repeat. That's what I recommend to you.
Since BAM is such as fast army comp, be cautious in your use of the queen (I'm being a bit of a hypocrite, I'm reckless with heroes). Use her when there aren't defences in range or something like that; you don't want to wait for her to heal. Ideally, you should use her every raid.
One more thing: pay attention to time of day you raid. Some times of day are crappy, and others feel like heaven. clashofclansforecaster.com is reeeeally great for this. It shows what time of day will be best for finding inactive bases, and you can time your raiding sessions with the times it says are good. It has helped me a lot.
All the above is concerning collector raids. I have only been raiding collectors, and it's been working fine. You have to be patient. I recorded next amounts for my last 107 raids, and my average nexted was about 28.95. Sometimes I have gotten a great collector raid on the first base and the highest I got was 140 nexts. Just don't give up; there is ALWAYS a raid there. If it is consistently taking forever to find a base, time to change trophy range.
If you want to do storage raids, there are quite a few rich TH8s in Gold 2 and Gold 1. Train up some GiBarch (8 giants if you're very skilled, or 12-16 if you're not that experienced using giants. 8-10 wallbreakers. Don't have to use all your wallies each raid. Extras are there just in case. The rest barch, maybe some goblins, and if you want extra firepower, wizards). TH8s are fairly easy to take from with our OP lv6 giants
Anyway, I hope I helped, and good luck finding the loot and getting those legos done. More than anyone else's advice though, the best way to learn and find the best trophy range is to experiment by yourself. It feels like a pain but you come out a better clasher. I would say hit up G1 and try to hit bloated TH8s with GiBarch and preferably lvl 7 cc giants. At G1 you can also get a decent amount of dark elixir aswell as your basic gold/elixir. IF you are in a heavy war clan and you like to war, I would advice NOT building your xbows because it adds lots of war weight. I would suggest searching up "TH 8.5".

Ok, I'll look into that and maybe do it tomorrow. I guess this subforum is kind of obscure for a lot of people, huh. Would it be appropriate to have this thread in both this subforum and in General? We could operate it in both places and would get the benefits from having it in both places (higher level, more experienced player tend to hang out in Base Design, Tactics & Strategy).

As Onyx said, Gold 1 is great to attack full TH8s. I also recommend Gold 2, I've been farming from 1800, and when I farm I tend to drop trophies by losing a lot of farming raids, so I keep farming till I'm at about 1500, and then I go right back up to 1800. I get a lot of collector raid at about 29 nexts/raid (average of 107 attacks). With your lv5 barch, I think stick to collector raids until you're strong enough to start storage raiding (exception: many TH8s are penetrable with TH8 BAM and Barch). Also, as Onyx said, if you're in a heavy war clan, do a TH8.5 strategy (that's where you upgrade just your offence and walls first, so you don't hurt your clan's war matchmaking. However, if you're in a farming clan, like me, where war matchmaking doesn't matter much or you don't war at all, go ahead and get the xbows. You'll get attacked less often and sniped more often because they're scary

Sure 10 chars100% agree with you Aphro. Boosting a BAM comp is absolutely unnecessary. It will just be a waste of gems, I mean you don't get much faster than one raid every 8-10 minutes with BAM

I'm currently upgrading all my walls to skull. All my defenses are maxed. I also need a lot of de for upgrading my dark spells and golem.
I have just 10 skulls and rest lvl 7 walls.
Please suggest a trophy count and army comp for gold and de farming.
All my elixir troops are maxed and so are hogs and minions.

No loot problems but I do have a question for the high level farmers;
Masters League farming. Is it worth it? Currently farming in G1 and finding great loot with BAM but I'm getting bored of it. So, I've been considering heading to m3 or m2 to try farming league bonus between loonion or some kind of giant based raids. Anyone have experience with this and prefer it over Gold/Crystal? Also, I'd like to head to a higher league so I can train a war-like army over night for some extra practice.
Note: both of my heroes are down and I plan to keep them down until they're both 20 (Currently both going to 19 so I'll have no heroes for about 2 weeks)
