Seriously, where is the fun any more?

The fact is there are literally ZERO bases to attack. The bases you find are no more than 1-6 trophies, once every hour or so.

My new strategy is to go on Defense, which means I need to break my sheild. I have currently received FOUR "No bases available" messages in a ROW.

Can't attack, can't break shield, what the heck can I do? Base is full max so farming is no longer anything I care about.

Maybe it's time to find a new game and place to spend my money...

As unfortunate as it is, when you're a maxed th10, unless you have tons of time on your hands to push the game is pretty much over at thus point.

That is why its not practical to push to TITAN as of this moment ( for me ha)..... Not unless you have so much enduring patience and happiness doing it.
Further worst NO GEM! Waiting for future achievement to be update maybe..... As of now doing League farming bonus... going up dropping some trophy down....going up dropping down...

Joke isn't even strong enough of a word. I was at 4651 and got hit for -38 by somebody still in freaking champ one. How is that remotely fair that they see me five seconds after I log out? It will take forever to get that back since sc has manipulated the matchmaking so we almost never see bases. I understand why I no longer see whales, but it makes no sense at all that I'm actually surprised to even see a one cup after staring at clouds forever. They could at least acknowledge they screwed with matchmaking because it wasn't like this before the last update.

but what exactly is "whales" I see a lot of th10s use this term.

SC cannot make up players. The problem (clouds and low cup offers) is there are not that many players above you and most are probably online or shielded. There are only 200 people in the world above 4797, so that is why there are attack issues that high. There is nothing SC can do to change that, it is just what happens at the top...

They could help with you not being attacked by people that low (assuming non-revenge), if they didn't let people go up by more than 200 trophies, but it maybe required again because of the low pool of players...

SC can change that by offering a nice GEM reward for reaching Titan's, say 2.5k or 3k.
